more phm headcanons

eridians figured out how to make paint for the house for grace and so they made a whole bunch of different colors at grace's request because he wanted to learn to paint in his free time. first day moving paint into biodome, grace trips and falls, cap comes loose, every ounce of pink paint is now all over rocky's exosuit.

"rocky very mad, statement"

when grace was a kid he had a whole box of those weird little green army toy soldiers he was obsessed with. he tended to bring them everywhere and stick them in places that wouldnt have them otherwise (holes in walls, windowsills of restaurants, open lockers, etc). this persisted into adulthood where he'd do a little scavenger hunt thing around schools and kids would go crazy to find one. when stratt recruited him for project hail mary (read: kidnapped) she would consistently find little army soldiers anywhere grace was prior

on the hail mary he opens a box to find two hundred little plastic soldiers

and hes like

rocky is now very pissed that there are army soldiers EVERYWHERE on his side of the xenonite glass

stratt has spent more on starbucks coffees than she'd like to admit

carl likes mario games

ilyukhina loves the scorpions, they're her favorite band! especially wind of change!

rocky has a special interest in eridian cryptology, was overjoyed when he learned humans also have codes and ciphers

side note: one of my friends called yao li-jie "yaoi" when i first showed them the movie and i'm not quite sure how to feel about that

Tfw you're so caught up in your research the last few weeks waiting for this dude to wake up you low-key forget that it's not a life threatening earth shattering situation- at least not for everyone.

I don't think it's fully set in for Grace that there is another LIVING HUMAN BEING on Erid. He's getting 3 hours of sleep a night thinking himself into a spiral.
