A Vegan thanksgiving is a kind thanksgiving
Where to begin with all this
Sometimes I purposely have headphones in with no actual music to stop people from trying to talk to me. Enraging.
What incel wrote this article.
This is the only appropriate reaction since he wanna be all up in my face.
Even that image they have, the woman looks SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. How do you even justify this garbage???
The woman in the image is leaning away, has an uncomfortable smile, and her arm is crossed over her body.
She doesn’t want to be talking. She doesn’t want to be there. She is entirely not okay with the interaction.
Guys, don’t approach people with headphones in. No matter what. Even if they look approachable, even if they look like they want to talk with you. Just don’t.
everyone: writing fanfiction is a great way to explore your various sexual fantasies
me, through clenched teeth: what if they lived in a TINY house and took NAPS all the time
I truly had no idea this would pick up so much traction but i’m glad to know we’re all in the same boat of living out unrealistic fantasy scenarios re: intimacy and home ownership
me, sobbing: And they had game night with friends and everyone took turns hosting and everyone was okay.
omg everyone was okay
you can make a difference. even if you feel completely insignificant, like a tiny drop in an ocean of people, a little drop can cause a ripple effect. you are important, and what you do counts
if you’re a vegan blog please like this so I can follow you :)

For those vegans who feel like they don’t make a difference, please try to remember just how powerful it is to be a visible symbol of this movement and an advocate for a better world. Through our actions and our ethics we show others that it is possible to live in such a way as to cause the least harm we can, and that not only can humans survive this way; we can thrive. Just by existing we offer a template for a kinder, a wiser and a more sustainable way of being.
So even if you’re not as vocal as you’d like to be, never forget that by your commitment alone you inspire people, even if you never get to see the fruits of that inspiration. We aren’t going to end animal agriculture in our lifetime and we may never save the life of an animal directly, but wherever we go we’re planting seeds. You should never let anyone devalue that.
I hate the general opinion on this site that sheep need shearing and therefore wool products are okay.
Of course sheep need shearing, they’ve been selectively bred for years and years to produce uncomfortable amounts of wool!
Vegans aren’t saying ‘don’t shear sheep’, we’re saying ‘don’t keep hundreds of sheep in subpar conditions for the sole purpose of profiting from their wool’
And even if, hypothetically, these sheep have the best living conditions ever, unless they live in a sanctuary they’re just going to get sent off to slaughter way before the end of their natural lifespan the moment they stop being 'useful’ (aka the moment they stop making money).
It’s so frustrating that people don’t seem to understand this.
They don’t understand because they don’t want to. If they really wanted to know what the vegan position was they’d find out in 3 minutes of research, they attack this straw man position which no vegan actually holds because it makes them feel better about buying and wearing wool. There is no other reason for there to be such a widespread misrepresentation of our position despite the fact that we’re constantly telling people that this is not at all what we believe.
