i saw a post on twitter by a european saying americans are fake for their random compliments to strangers and their general cheery demeanor and like no. no no no you don’t understand. if you get a random compliment from an american on the street about your outfit or whatever, that is 100% genuine. we mean it. we aren’t lying we are making a small but fleeting connection with you because our lives are shitty but the human condition is enduring. oh god i’m clutching my chest
Give me household magic, give me spells crafted by grandmothers when they were learning how to live, passed down not from teaching but in that osmosis of children observing their mother everyday, give me simple charms made in the evenings and left on neighbours doors to keep gardens free of bugs and eaves from leaking, give me potions for cleaning or boiling or preserving, pantry potions every house has above the kitchen sink, give me words of power to call the cows down from the pastures and chase away foxes from the chickens and calm the horses when they frighten, give me household magic, small magic, family magic, it's not textbook, it's rough technique but it works and that's what matters
“Please, take them. Because once they ascend— the ones who vote with their Bibles, who scream freedom but mean control, who call poverty a punishment and science a scam— maybe then we can finally breathe.”
— Eira Quinn, Let There Be Thought
I love being a witch
I love using crystals. I love collecting oracles. I love having different sized bottles for my different herbs. I love taking pottery classes and do stuff for my altar. I love smoke cleansing. I love pulling a tarot card every morning. love walking barefoot and be grounded. I love the witch aesthetic. I love having my house full of plants. I love having two cats who are curious and bite my quartz necklace and bracelets. I love the smell of rain and collecting it. I love putting intention to everything i do. I love lighting candles. I love taking a shower and feeling the water cleansing my body. I love experimenting with spells.
I love being a witch.

Are you even ready for your manifestations to come?
Let me explain..
We all have a version of ourselves in our heads that we assume we'd automatically become as soon as our manifestations come to fruition for us in our reality, but what we fail to remember is that we are the only ones in control of our personal actions and behaviors. Your manifestation arriving for you isn't going to forcefully wake you up at a good time in the morning, force you to get up and do your skincare routine, to take care of your oral hygiene, get you to do your workout routine etc
One of the worst things is being caught off guard.. Your manifestation is finally here, maybe it was an SP. He asked you out on a date.. for tomorrow morning.
Oh but your nails aren't done! Your hair is the most brittle and dry it's ever been! Your entire body is in need of an exfoliation! You always imagined yourself being fitter, more toned, with healthier hair, clearer skin, being perfectly groomed at all times whenever you imagined being in a relationship, especially with your SP.
Your manifestation has presented itself for you to experience, and you're a second away from damn near rejecting it because you're not who you wanted to be when you imagined receiving it.
You've sat in your room with oily hair, chipped nails, grown out pedicures, the same pajamas from 2 days ago and all the effort and energy has gone to getting a guy to want you. Now he does, and you're not ready for it.
Take your mind off of your manifestation and give it time to solidify in your reality while you start moulding yourself into who you know you want to be. It'll take the pressure off of you and remove a ton of the anxiety you're probably experiencing as you impatiently wait for your manifestations.
In the meantime, get yourself to where you know you want to be. Get used to regular maintenance routines. You're not forgetting about your manifestation by taking your focus off of it, you're actually welcoming it in even more by reducing the amount of resistance you may feel towards it because you subconsciously know you would be too insecure to accept it if it came.
You're prepping yourself which is helping you to prep your entire being for what you want to experience.
Don't let the experiences of your dreams pass you by. Dream girls get their dream worlds. You're just as important as your manifestations
⭐️ RESET ⭐️
——————
- delete contacts you no longer speak to, old notes on phone, playlists you no longer listen to. 📱
- unsubscribe from podcasts, channels, music, remove apps & accounts that you no longer absorb. (replace these things with content the person you’re becoming would consume) 🎵🤍
- go through your wardrobe & create a donate, sell, & keep pile. don’t keep things you haven’t worn in months. before purchasing something, ask yourself if you’ll use it more than 5 times. for every item you bring in, 2-3 items should leave. 👚👙👟
- start adjusting your diet to fit your personal goals. remember that slow motion is better than no motion + discipline is necessary. don’t force yourself to get healthy / fit in one week this is a steady win - avoid burnout. writing your goals every week helps. ✍🏼🍳🍎🫐🥑
- practice detachment. i don’t mean from emotions & becoming ‘stoic’ but from materialistic objects, remove yourself from labels, become nothing so that you may become something. detach yourself from people that no longer serve you, stop dwelling on the past; there is only ‘right now’. detach yourself from the future, it is not promised & only creates anxious emotions. 🧠🫀🦶🏼
- learn to become comfortable with the uncomfortable. train yourself with breath work. I recommend pranayama, morning & night. I used to be anxious about anything that is ‘new’ until I started simply breathing properly & quieting my mind first thing when I wake up, I swear by it. 💆🏼♀️
- journal morning & night. track your mental + emotional patterns. write down why you feel a certain way & if you don’t know why, break it down instead of looking at the bigger picture. 📓
I could list more but I will end it here. There are levels to a reset. (lvl 1)

this is your random reminder to CHECK IF YOU'RE STILL HAVING FUN
are you enjoying scrolling tumblr? watching youtube? reading that book? playing that game? drawing that art? doing that activity? if not,
YOU CAN STOP AND DO SOMETHING ELSE
you don't have to stick to something that you are doing for fun if it isn't fun for you anymore. You can come back! If you've loved it before you are likely to love it again! but you can stop!
Don't get stuck in a loop of doing something that you think should be fun when it isn't! You can put it down for a bit! Maybe that's the very thing that will make it fun again later!
“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.
