The first of my FTH binds: Desert Rose by Borealisblue / @thetimetostrikeislater and my misprint edition of One Omen Too Many by @joyandotherstories and @tawnyontumblr. Also showing the author edition of Desert Rose. These were chosen and won by @theviewfrommtseleya.

Desert Rose is Star Trek TOS, featuring a different first meeting between Kirk and Spock. I have loved Star Trek as long as I can remember, so this was so much fun. Since it was set on Vulcan, I wanted to use that in the design. At 135,649 words it’s a bit chonky, so I marbled the textblock.

One Omen Too Many is a misprint edition of the fabulous Cadfael/Good Omens au by Joy and Tawny that I previously posted about here.

About the petitions to have the whole season of Good Omens

I previously re-blogged one, and now I deleted the reblog, for the following reason:

if Amazon thinks that we want a serie and not a movie, they'll cancel it again. If we write a petition on the lines of "we want the movie if there's no alternative, but we wish to have the whole serie" the petition would have 0 impact on Amazon. But if we say "we want the whole series" than Amazon will most likely read it as "they don't like the idea of the movie" and they'll cancel it. I honestly would love to have all 6 episodes, and I really would love to see everything as it was supposed to be, but folks, let's not throw away all the struggle and job done in these months to get this movie! We did get something, is it disappointing that it is shorter that what it was supposed to be? Yeah! But it is something! Let's not risk to have this canceled as well, please!

These petitions made sense before we came to know how difficult it was to have this finale, and we thought they just decided to shorten it. We than came to know that, actually, they had already canceled it, and were afterward convinced to at least make this one episode.

It took long to convince Amazon to give us those 90 minutes, and, from what we know, it seams like they didn't want to produce even this single one, and that they're doing it with as little effort as they could (I'm talking about those who decide wether to produce it or not, I'm not talking about the cast and the crew and all the people that will work on it, which I'm sure will give anything and everything and they'll do their job with lots of passion and love). So if Amazon thinks that there won't be enough people to watch it, they'll cancel it right away. They've already done it once, and than they were convinced to give us at least a movie, and all they need to cancel it back is a snap of their finger. So, again, please let's not make this happen again, please!

I've been umm'ing and ahh'ing about writing a similar post as the above because there is a very *real* possibility that Amazon will just yoink the whole thing!

I'll be unpopular, and I'm sure this will garner some side-eyes and snarls, but please hear me out, hear out @idonthaveany

If they think we're either not interested in the TV Movie 90 minute special, or that after all of the behind the scenes hard work Rhianna and Rob and everyone else sunk into SAVING this - it will be gone. GONE.

PLEASE can we try and focus on the fact that we will see an ending. We will get closure. No, it isn't shaped the way most of us wanted/expected, but it is better than nothing.

Some of Fandom right now are pushing ALL the wrong buttons. A petition to have it commuted to six episodes is *not* going to work. Amazon is a global giant that, with the snap of it's fingers, can re-trash the entire idea without a backwards glance.

I can't say this loud enough or with more !!!

THE FINAL FIFTEEN COULD HAVE BEEN THE FINAL FIFTEEN!!!!!!

No matter how angry, sad, upset or disappointed we are, surely NONE OF US wants the last physical scenes committed to screen history to be Aziraphale walking into that lift and Crowley driving away with his heart leaking vital fluids in his lap!

This show was cancelled, as in crew let go, contracts ended, sets shut down, scripts put in the bin.

We at least get to see how it plays out and I, for one, am eternally grateful.

We'll be okay.

I know lots of people are very very pissed off right now, but please don't push Amazon into rescinding the entire thing and leaving us with absolutely nothing.

i feel like we should reblog this to spread the word around. i, for one, am PUMPED for the movie. I can see myself pulling up to the movie theater with my dad in 2 years, and buying the popcorn bucket and having a blast

again. the final fifteen couldve been the FINAL fifteen.

im beyond grateful we're even getting an ending in the first place. i understand its not fair, i understand its difficult to process, but still.

90 minutes of what I assume is going to be utter gold, because let's face it, Rob Wilkins, David Tennant and Michael Sheen are literally the best of the best in their fields and the industry, is better than a whole handful of bitter regret and dead air if Amazon take the Fandom's reaction as a rejection and indication of lack of ratings.

I *need* to see how this plays out, even of it isn't 6 episodes.

We also don't know that the feature length episode wasn't an idea on the table long before NG was outed as a complete asshat.

Everything passed the moment they clinked glasses and professed their love to The World was a bonus.

Terry wanted this tv show made, it is the *only* piece of posthumous work he actually wanted created after his death. The man ran a traction engine over his WIP hard-drive to prevent anyone using his unfinished ideas after he'd passed away.

Above all else, our Husbands get their ending and Terry gets his final wish.

The shape of that has changed, but it isn't outside of our grasp.

If people keep throwing bricks at Amazon's windows, we may well lose the entire thing altogether.

We survived a full on cancellation once, let's not tempt fate and bring about another one.

This story is simply incredible. Sad yes, in the melancholy way, but also tinged with great happiness. The plot and setting is so very unusual amongst GO fanfic, but the ending is so tender and moving. The art pieces too are beautifully done. Adore this and thoroughly recommend it to any lovers of Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship.
