My kinda of Wandavision theory

So, if you follow my blog, you know since Wandavision was annouced I had an idea of a fanfic of how things turned out, I even published some aesthetics and a little prologue,but then 2020 happened, and it’s not really news that it sucked, I wrote so little last year, and with my crap job, I couldn’t make the transcription and translation of the text to english, and now Wandavision is here, and it’s best that anything that what we could think of, and no, it’s not like my fanfic, but there’s some stuff that always intrigued me, but how this all started with a theory, I thought why not publish what was my theory.

So, my idea started all with the thinking how they could portrait the struggles wiht mental health that Wanda deal with it , but not falling in the “powerful women are crazy y’all” and how they could portrait “ a house of M” type of situation and also keep a mistery and bring some surprises. And what i saw in this chapter looked some stuff that i thought

My biggest idea, was that the show would happen in three levels:

1. The one that Wanda is aware that she is in a simulation and trying to get out

2. The sitcom one, with Vison and Wanda marrying having the twins.

3. The Sword Team/ The real life searching what the hell was happening

But who is doing it this?

Wanda, the simple answer. The more complex one: Scarlet Witch

So everyone knows/ is betting that Wanda is the one making the reality shifts, but my idea ,was Wanda is doing it, but not the way we think, like “ the biggest magic trick is the one that happens in front of our eyes.”

Wanda is doing it, but not the one from the MCU. How a better way to introduce the Multiverse that having an alternate version of the character. This stared because every first solo mcu project, the hero fights a villain that has the same powers or habilities, but i thought that’s a better visual metaphor of mental struggles than you fighting a version of yourself, literally?!!

But why this was happening?

In my mind, with the infinity stones broken, the veil between the universe became very thin. And this alternate version of Wanda, had a more close story to the comics, with a post house of M disaster- type, and were trying to give the MCU Wanda a chance to have the perfect life, trying to revive Vision, like trying to make things happen differently. And Agnes followed her trying to stop what happened with the scarlet witch happens with this version of Wanda. disgusing as someone helping MCU Wanda wiht her powers.

And mephisto, (but In thie case of the series could be Nightmare) also were creeping trying to get in this knew universe, using the space that this wanda left open.

So i had imagined that Wanda would fight agnes, when she was told that the wittch was the one making the stuff,, but then she connected the dots and she was the witch, so would have thiis confrontation with the alternate version of herlsef. ( With the alternate version using the tiara, and Mcu asking if was a M from “Maximoff”, and the alternate version, saying that it represent the name, but was also represent other stuff ( M from mutant, evebody would get that) and what would give the illusion was that they had differents “pietros”. And in this confrotation, alternate version, just said that she was tired of losing everything, so she decided to give something” and would left the tiara with MCU Wanda. Agnes would point out that having the kids was what put other Wanda in an road to madness, but MCU Wanda would still want to have the little time with Vision and the kids. but knowing that Mephisto would come to try to cause havoc and trying to take the twins. Wanda would have to left the twins and Vision in the pocket dimension and closed from outside. And the was sad, but she was ready to kick some ass and then trying to go back to family, tthis kicking the doctor strange 2 storyline.

my fanfic was more bold, it would show thei first date, a white vision like the comics, ,she dreamed to be an actress (like the comics), , then this would explain the sitcom setting. and why she is so good at english, the science explanation why sword was there, was that they saw the wande took some from sword, everybody would think that was vision, but it was I.S.A.A.C to help with the simulation and other stuff.

Do i think that some stuff will happen? no, but how i know that i can’t finish it writting, so at least i will show you guys that you weren’t lose anything, not reading the mess that it was.

Wandavision Theory Part 2

I'm so stupid that I posted an draft of this earlier, Sorry to the people that had seen that.

Anyway,

The era that is not what they want you think It is, so I'll call the 2000's-10's.

This is the same living room that we have seen in other decades, but this is the most modern looking one. aking we think that it's the real (MCU) time and not the simulation,but the decoration is anachronic, look at the TV.

Wanda is modernizing rather than giving a vintage magic's makeover. Like she is fixing the stuff that is not períod accurate. (Side note: the lamp is the same lamp of the 60's, but BLUE not yellow, maybe they're were just reusing props.)

I'm already made a post joking about the bova picture, but I want to talk about the others pictures. I'm not the first to say, that the one in the right corner, looks like a collage of photos of children growing up. but I want to focus at the one closer to the door, it's a painting of a house with the same layout as the one we see on the halloween, but because it was dark we couldn't see the colors, however they posted this:

yeah, it's a painting of their house.

(side note: Marvel, you are being subtle as an bull in a porcelain store with this slogan)

Now about Wanda's clothes, she looks depressed, the shirt doesn't even look like it's hers, it's too big.also using blue matching the walls.

Theory time: they want us to think that this is the "real" MCU time, that Wanda's depressed and then making the simulation, but to me This is the last decade of the simulation, when she knows that what she has in this universe is coming to an end. The "reality" is really knocking at the door.

The 2020's or the current MCU.

let's talk about S.W.O.R.D, so half the cast is in the scene, Jimmy, Monica, Darcy, this agent in front that seems important.

I think that it's too much people being agents, my fan theory was that Darcy would still being a civillian , to diversify the have civil ties with what is happening in the simulation. (But maybe this is bias because of my fic)

My theory, they coming thinking that IS something about aliens, boom,in the end IS also Magic, and they are not prepared to this. (Also bias because Is also the Idea behind my fic)

My big question is: do they know what IS happening in the simulation, like they are watching truman's show or no??

Wandavision Theory

My life experiences were ALL leading to this, using my knowledge in fashion and home decoration I'll make a semi-understanble timeline/Theory .

First, a clearly homage to The Vision and the Scarlet Witch comics, they arriving in a car, The P&B filter, the desses and hats,this is the 50's, I think that this will start in media res, so first episode, arriving, meeting the New neighboors, we don't know what IS happening, they are Just living.

(I'm so excited to see ALL the sitcom actors that they put on this)

Still the 50's, now focus in here in the kitchen's door, the mirror, and the cupboards. Wanda IS the one switching the disguise on/off.

the city is called westview (maybe a reference to The west coast avengers???), Anyway the city is real in the MCU, more in this later.

Here, another stuff, Wanda is using her Power but without the red glow. The bottle is Maison du Mépris, is translate as house of contempt, I'm not really sold in this being a House of M, because Maison du is a common wine name, but The bottle is from 1953.

here a Lot of hints , but still the 50's, whatever that is happening, they have the meta awareness to look at The camera,clothes and hair still ALL 50's. But look at The curtains and the couch.

First change of era , notice Wanda's hair here, in ALL 50's her hairs a small Bob Will a Lot of curls, but now is more loose, The clothes are hard to see but this put in thr end of 50's, start of the 60's.

This is starts of 60's ( really clever to do this transition, when the sitcoms in this start of the era also did go from B&W to Full color, we see Wanda with the Mary Tyler moore hair. The curtains and couch their change their patterns, again with the meta awareness.

My bet we going to start with the 50's ,see The 60's, in this weird space of their noticing the strange things , but still keeping with the charade. Maybe all in The first episode, or two Episodes If their will be interwined with the real world.

Also would be a sweet visual cue if the injection of color would be with their reaching The conclusion of what is happening to them. (My guess, Wanda Will think that she is doing It) but as sitcoms always did, this first conclusion is wrong.

The 70's

The hair, the contrast stiching in Vision's shirt, the clock. Also, the color of the fence becomes a dark Brown, the room is a pale Green, and the house has more indoors plants. The window is different.

Again with the meta awareness, they are dancing, more on this later, fingers crossed to a cheesy sitcom theme or a great disco song.

Remember this, The change to the 70's is where the change in The house become a Lot, the stairs are New, remember The cupboards, their become brown , the colors are really strong in the kitchen. Also Wanda is pregnant.

Also 70's, Monica's clothes and make up.

Notices that the grass and plants are more dry than in wanda's house, Also the Power pushing her is red, but the wall of the simulation is BLUE. Here that we got the confirmation that the city is real in the MCU, we see her passing the welcome sign,that Wanda and Vizh also pass in the car in the 50's, but then there was house close by, in the 70's and now it's just trees. Also we see that s.w.o.r.d made the city a restrict area. She also don't look like surprised with what happened. Even If the others were.

So now the guessing game, the wall is a technology of Sword to try to prevent what happening in the city to spread out? Or are they trying to understand what is?

So bet is Monica is pushed out by Wanda's Power, because she is pregnant and she thinks that she has everything under control. But If the wall is part of whatever is happening is clearly that IS no Just Wanda's Power.

Also, is the clothes of Monica stays the same as she comes through the wall, the first sign that stuff from the simulation could become real?

With the 70's covering the whole pregnancy, i would put this as the Second/third episode.

As Wanda knows something is wrong, but Vision is alive again and she thinks she is in control.

The 80's

Again, another shift at the house,the pale color is back, also nice reference, using the 80's , the decade that the twins were born in the comics to show them as babies, children.

Here The pose of Kathryn Hahn, Just screams not neighboor, but zany character that shows up from knowhere and gives advice unprompted. Like an angel and Devil at Wanda's shoulder situation

Now that's when the footage gets scarce, my bet , with the rumors tha they are covering that the twins will grow up in the series.

The end of the 80's/start of 90's !?!

Here is really hard to pin exactly because the furniture and wallpaper of the kitchen are the same of the 80's, but Wanda's fashion and hair are more end of the decade/start of the 90's, so we also going to stay a good chunk in that period of time. And Wanda is rocking the exasperated sitcom mom's face.

I would say until here, is stuff that happens until the middle of the series. Wanda'll haver more information than Vision about stuff happening,, now things will start to get complicated.

Halloween

Until now, I'm still not sure why they did mirror the image at the spots. Like why???

Halloween is hard to pinpoint because of the costumes, but here we see stairs that reminds of the 60's one, but not the same, also the cupboards are now a pale yellow, not the dark Brown furniture of the 70's and 80's. Also in the right corner we see a basket and a clothing iron more 90's/2000's than a 80's.

My first guess was the 80's because It would be a reference of the first issue of the Vision and the Scarlet Witch also happens in the halloween. But still Can be a reference and happens in the 90's.

Here we see the first crack, we see Wanda and Vision dancing before but now it's just Wanda, and Vision is worried. The Sync between them is over. (Also from here, footage with them together is not shown)

Maybe because they filmed in location or color correction, but the grass is greener in one of the houses,also the extras costumes are more 90's to me.

Okay this is a guess in the dark, but I think the reason that he is out, is because he was trick or treating with the twins, because the way that they use the costumes screams couple pf parents that will embarass their children. So maybe the twins are in this photo, like the red coat is screaming "Billy" to me. But maybe is wishful thinking. What we really can see is the things are getting creppier. The house is alone in the fog, and vizh change his looks alone in the middle of the road.

The city looks empty and people are frozen in place. Also we see here Vision's wedding ring, also Kathryn uses onde, she's also dress as a witch, so we know that she is Agatha, they are not even trying to be subtle.

Also they 90's there's was a Lot of witches on media, there's hocus pocus, the craft, Sabrina, practical magic,etc. Her dress is very Wicked witch of west, but hair is 90's.

About the car, we can''t see right, but could be a 80's, but also an early 90's, because the cars would become more curvier starting 92 or 93.

The Platters song sounds as being played in her car.

Só my stronger bet is 90's, this is when the sh*t hits the fan, and the decades start to mix.this would be the middle point, the switch button that Vision will press to see what is happening and Wanda don't want to see.

Bless you! I haven’t been able to summon the brain power to put this together and you have such an eagle eye, I’m so glad you did this! My observations:

I really think it’s Vision changing himself. Wanda’s facial expression to me seems very pointed--she’s telling Vision through facial expression to put his human face on. And I think that’s the point of his silly face, he’s joking to her about doing it.

Great point about the color transition adding patterns and whatnot to the set--I didn’t notice and looking back, besides the set up of couch + door on the left + window behind, the whole living room is changed. Either it warps right before the color transition or we might have to keep an eye out during episodes for things slowly changing without our noticing!

You’re totally right, their goofy little dance is much more 70s.

Interesting point about the simulation portal exit being a bluish color! You’re right, it would make more sense if it were red, but it’s decidedly not!

My assumption about Monica’s look is that she was deliberately sent in by SWORD to see what’s going on--you can see her in the shot where the agents are approaching in regular clothes, and I think that’s probably before she’s sent in.

I’m pretty sure that shot of Wanda that you’ve marked as 90s is actually the 80s! Look at the wallpaper behind her--it matches the wallpaper behind Agnes. In fact, she might even be looking at Agnes in that scene.

About the change of patterns, when the color is add in, yeah they are two separates decades, most think the B&W footage its the same , but for what we seen the 50's are the one with the dresses and all B&W and the dinner. The 60's, the sweaters and starts B&W and then Go full color. só two layout of the rooms are going to use the B&W.

I also think that Monica was sent in a recon mission, but do Sword know exactly what is happenning in the simulation to send an agent with the right type of clothes?! Like they are watching like truman's show or receiving information from inside ?! Or the clothes changes in the simulation and the changes become real after the simulation?! This is still my. Big question about this.

The flannel/suspenders is really the 80's house, i think that I expressed myself badly, i wanted to say that the hair and clothes are different from the other 80's look. When the First it's early 80's, the last is late 80's.. I never thought about being a reaction shot tô Agatha , but It really fits. I think the one with the pale yellow furniture is the one from the 90's.
