"Scoot over and share the blankets!"
Sam looked over to Kevin as he talked, he hadnât realized he had walked up. âHmphâ Sam grunted as he moved over and held the blanket open for Kevin. Sam was glued to the TV because he was watching Game Of Thrones, his new favorite show.
Kevin smiled, curling up under the blankets. âYou have become way to obsessed with this show.â He teased, looking at the TV. Kevin understood it though, he was the same way about Star Wars.
After Kevin sat down Sam rested his arm on the back of the couch because he thought that would be the most comfortable position he could find. âItâs an interesting show.â Sam said with a shrug. Dean was the one who had gotten him into the show and he just couldnât stop watching; the books were just as good also. Sam resituated himself and once he was comfortable his leg was pressed up against Kevinâs and his hand slid down the couch a bit and was resting against Kevinâs shoulder. Sam always liked being close to other people because of how warm everyone seemed to be compared to him.
Kevin rested his hand against Samâs chest, their combining body heat created a comfortable place under the blanket. He sighed peacefully. âIt looks good, but I havenât had time to watch it until recently.â He said. He was glad that tablets werenât a part of his life anymore. Sure he enjoyed the challenge, but it had consumed his entire existence. Now he had time for the little things like watching Game of Thrones with Sam under a fuzzy blanket.
Sam listened to Kevin but was still looking at the TV. When Kevin said that he hadnât had time to watch anything recently he felt a huge pang of guilt. Dean and him worked Kevin so hard and they never really gave him a break. âIâm sorry KevinâŠâ Sam said now turned looking at him. âYou can pick something else if you want?â He suggested.
âDonât be sorry. I worked because thatâs what had to be done, and thatâs okay. Itâs no oneâs fault⊠well I guess maybe Godâs if you want to get technical.â Kevin said, looking up at Sam. âAnd no,â He added, âIâm now invested in this blonde characterâs backstory.â
Sam frowned as Kevin talked, even though he was saying that it wasnât his fault but he still felt bad about it. Kevin was just a kid, he had had a normal life and was just thrown into the supernatural world. Sam was happy though when Kevin said he was interested in the show.
âHey no frowning.â Kevin said, smiling at Sam. âYouâre less âSamâ when youâre sad.â He added, returning his gaze to the TV.
Sam looked at Kevin a little confused. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â He felt a bit offended but he wasnât sure if it was supposed to be rude or not.
Kevin looked up at him. âWhen youâre sad you get all reserved. I mean I understand why, but that doesnât mean I miss you any less.â He said quietly. âSadness takes away peopleâs personalities sometimes, and I like your personality⊠I mean Iâm guilty of it too. I did try to run away that one timeâŠâ His speech started to fade out and he rested his head against the back of the couch. âSorry,â he said suddenly, âIâm just ramblingâŠâ
Sam watched Kevin as he talked, thinking it was a bit odd that someone would notice the kinda of things he was talking about. To Sam if someone was sad they were sad, well unless it was Dean but thatâs only because he knows him so well. âHmm Iâve never really thought about it that way.â Sam said after Kevin finished talking. Then he let his arm slide down around Kevinâs shoulder and pulled him in a to a side hug. âThanks for caring.â Sam said with a smile. He felt it was refreshing to talk and be around someone other than Dean and someone as cute as Kevin. Sam left his arm around Kevin and went back to watching the show.
Kevin smiled as Sam hugged him. He was just glad that Sam was able to understand what he had been going on about. âItâs my pleasure.â He joked. He let his head rest on the other man and started watching the show, though he had no idea what was going on.
Sam was a little surprised by Kevin resting his head onto his shoulder but he didnât mind. Sam looked down at Kevin and smiled he liked that they seemed to be so comfortable together even though, sadly, they never spent time alone. Every once in awhile they would be doing research together but they were both so focused they never talked. Sam sighed deeply, he was pretty content on how his day was going and hope it would stay a nice day, no random emergency.
Kevin was happy today. He finally had some time to just relax with Sam. The days were usually so hectic, but today was good. Kevin relaxed, hoping his weight didnât make Sam uncomfortable. âAre you comfortable or should I move?â He asked casually.
âNo, no youâre fine Kevinâ Sam said a bit too quickly. Donât be weird. Sam thought to himself as he mentally face palmed. âIts fine i donât mind, Iâm comfortable as is.â he said with a smile.
Kevin smiled to himself. âOkay, good.â He replied. He enjoyed being close to Sam today. It seemed weird, but he just let himself embrace it.
Sam didnât say anything more he just relaxed and continued watch the episode of Game of Thrones. The episode seemed to over quicker than Sam expected, he was a little disappointed by it being over. âSo do you wanna watch another episode or do you want to pick something else?â he asked Kevin.
Kevin pondered the question for a moment. âYou can play another episode if you want. I might fall asleep while we are here anyway.â He said, yawning. He hadnât gotten much sleep last night, and the position he was in was so comfortable, it was hard to stay awake.
Sam smirked, he liked the idea of Kevin falling asleep on him. âIf you want you can lay your head on my lap and take a nap if you wantâ Sam said. He wasnt going to lie to himself, he was definitely flirting.
Kevin giggled a little bit at Samâs obvious flirting. âShut up.â He joked, nudging Sam with his arm.Â
"I'm just saying, if you want to lay down my lap makes a nice pillow." Sam said to Kevin with a wink. He liked hearing Kevin giggle and he wanted to make him laugh again. Kevin, or well all of them never really laughed or smiled any more, it was a nice thing to hear.
