I have a bit more new followers lately but I'll let you know that I've been a resin doll (BJD) collector since 2017 and this is my lil Copia doll....

I volunteered at the NYC Doll Con this weekend and met lots of collectors from all over the place and bought some more fun stuff for me to play with! I hope this all makes me motivated to do more with my dolls....

10) What they don't like about each other?

Terzo doesn't plan anything. Or at the very least he doesn't show any signs of a plan. Just jumps in and does things and magically it all works out for him. He does have goals he just does not give a shit whether or not you know about behind the scenes.

Nik lies. A lot. Either to shield people from the truth or to get what he needs out of someone. He lies about his feelings or intentions. He calls it "withholding the truth" but Terzo knows it's just lying. It's not a dealbreaker because Nik has gotten Terzo out of a lot of situations with his ability to lie but it still bothers Terzo.

14. Core Values

See this is what keeps people together. I don't think "opposites attract" because it's the core values of a relationship that make it last beyond novelty. And the word "value" isn't always a positive thing.

Ultimately they both value freedom. The right for someone to do what's right for themselves. And this for them goes into their hedonist side and their more lofty goals for mankind sort of thing. They are both big thinkers. One big difference between them is that Terzo feels ultimate freedom is the destruction of all systems but Nik believes one could have freedom in a community.

There is no Mary Goore x Paul. Paul is aroace. But he doesn't know that yet. Right now he's convinced he "hasn't found the right person yet" but can't really say who that person is. He spends way more time focused on his music and doesn't really think about it until someone else actually brings it up.

He's not sure yet because he knows his dad Secondo was a very late bloomer but then made up for lost time by going into full hedonism mode. So after yet another awkward conversation it's a weird comfort for him to go "oh yeah any day now that switch is gonna turn on and I'll be normal like the rest of you"

Tell me more about Erin. Anything you wanna talk about. I just love her. Thank you.

See Erin is not part of the metal scene really, which is a strength in this case. She doesn't have any opinions on it and she doesn't hold the gig as a high stakes art project like the other three. It's a fun side quest with a lot of technical challenges that she's interested in. Mary has the experience but Erin is the band's official manager.

She is the most dedicated musician you will hire and you will get consistent, high quality results with her. She's of an "if you're on time you're late" sort of mind. She holds everyone who hires her on to their project to be at that same standard and will not hesitate to be pretty blunt about when people are falling behind. This often backfires on her, she has made people cry on many occasions.

She is 6ft 264lbs. She has always been big even when she was more fit during her Drum Corps years. In Drum Corps she was exposed to the most vile sexism and fatphobia within an extremely high pressure environment and now everything's just a walk in the park. She likes working under extreme pressure but often forgets that all of that damages your health. I'm sure at some point this will all catch up with her.

The one thing that absolutely throws her is when her friends and family are upset. She feels so deeply it annoys her and she doesn't know what to do to help them. She's aloof and blunt as fuck to everyone but when she considers you a friend you're basically soul bound now she doesn't make the rules.

WIP Drawing Maestro Emeritus Lisandro (90 year old magician and former Papa Emeritus)

I'm drawing him based on some DaVinci studies of old men

I imagine him speaking to the young upstart Maestro Secondo. The young magician is eager to learn from and impress an old Papa Emeritus, especially one so deep in understanding of the church and it's magic.

“As Papa Emeritus yes, in everything you will get first pick,” explained Lisandro. “But when trouble comes you will be first blood.

“There's so much you can see. So much you can perceive. And yet you must ignore it. For the sake of all things you must look away. You'll be a ugly little canary. And the whole world will watch your breaths.”

For the character ask game: Secondo

Oh man I'm so excited. I don't know what it is about Secondo I'm a little obsessed. And not for romantic reasons I just find his character (or at least my idea of his character) compelling. Like I can’t stop drawing his big sour face through the ages:

How I feel about this character:

He was raised to be Papa Emeritus. From a very young age he was trained in music and art and science and philosophy. Cold and calculating from a distance with a very dry deadpan sense of humor. It’s been fun writing a character who is just so assertive and sure and absolutely takes no half-measures (sometimes getting himself in binds because of it). He’s also surprisingly sentimental. There’s very few people he’s fond of and respects. He serves those people with his whole heart, even though he doesn’t express it in actual words.

People I Ship Romantically With Secondo

He’s a very guarded person so he does not fall for just anyone. For starters, they have to be an interesting combination of strong-willed and intellectual. His true love is his wife Sandra Leider who is chipper and bubbly but is extremely intelligent. Would have gone through medical school if not for certain life happenings. Just his presence alone convinced Marian to drop everything and join the Church, and he had a three-person relationship with them that got a little too heated. Is there a correlation between Sandra’s pregnancy and Marian dumping him for good? Yeah, probably….. He has lots of friends with benefits.

Non-Romantic OTP for this character

Sister Imperator. She’s his trainer and mentor and he has secretly idolized her from a very young age. He’s been intoxicated by her power for most of his life. The only person who he’d actually be subservient to. And Copia, of course. They both have an intellectual, analytical lean to their thought processes. He taught Copia how to be a fine musician. Through raising Copia he learned how to care for someone small. The experience perhaps made him a good father to his own kids in the future.

Unpopular Opinion

Ok, you said unpopular so here it is….Secondo is straight. When he’s serving as a Dom he’s open to anything subs want from him, but romantically he’s always been attracted to women and transwomen. Kink and sexual preference aren’t always intertwined.

One thing I wish happened

The brothers were killed off so quick. I trust Tobias with his art but man, so much possibilities for drama and plot are lost when there’s decisions like that. Oh well. At least we have fanfic.

February 15, 2023: the first of many terrible crashout breakup posts

The fifth year into Necropolitus' life as a Sibling of the Satanic Church in Kraków his father died. He heard about it through happenstance; a fellow sibling came across the death notice in a newspaper. His father was notable enough as a civil servant to warrant a brief mention. Nik otherwise would have disregarded the news if not for the fact that there was no mention of a son amongst the surviving relatives. His mother, his sister and his niece and nephew; no more and no less.

Success. He had faked himself completely out of existence.

Curiosity was the sole driver of Nik's mission to spy on the funeral. He was correct in his assumption that his mother would insist on a Catholic funeral at the church she dragged her children to every Sunday. Even though her late husband would rather burst into flames than acknowledge any version of an immortal soul. But he was no longer there and so she could finally do what she wished.

Nik arrived just in time to witness a hearse pull up to the front steps. He stood across the street, half shielding his face with a newspaper, a hat and some upturned coat lapels. He worried he would look too much like a spy in a film, but not enough to change his tactics.

It surprised him how little he felt for the people leaving the church. For the first few months after his escape he felt a deep longing to return home that overshadowed all his memories of how drowned he felt. But he knew it would fade. Everyone around him promised him that. The call of the Void was strong and his desire to understand himself and the infinite nothingness was stronger than even that. Now as they passed under the dark doors and carried the body of that architect, Nik's former family looked small to him; playing out their lives like dolls in the dollhouse.

His mother was small, surrounded by multiple old female relatives more shriveled than the last. Nik didn't worry for her. Her husband was dead but with her tontine of witches she would never be bored. What broke his heart was Katerina. Katerina and her children and that dour husband of hers with a face that regretted his poor life choices. Nik recognized his younger sister by the bright white coat she wore, a gift from him for her seventeenth birthday. The half decade put dark circles under her eyes and a baby nephew Nik never met on her hip. She was married far too early. It was one of the things that drove them apart at last. The man wasn't cruel but he wasn't loving either. He was simply there to wait out the clock like the rest of them.

When the hearse doors slammed shut and the rest of the family retreated to cars Nik left. He debated going into this cafe he haunted but thought otherwise. He would not even waste a coffee and a sandwich on any more thoughts about his family. Walking away from the line of cars driving in the opposite direction Nik only felt the empty windows of the church upon his back. Asking why even though it knew the answer.
