Honestly I’m a little tired of the abortion discussion centering around child raising and such. Like, if I got pregnant today, and someone offered to adopt the child and pay for my medical bills and everything, I still would have an abortion? You know why? Because I don’t want to be pregnant. I don’t want to put my body through that for nine months. And I don’t want to risk my life in childbirth. Hey, sorry I don’t want to get into a fight or smth, I just want to write my feelings about this whole situation as a white person, so don’t judge if you not agree. I won’t speak for all whites and in no way I have a reason to speak about the black imitation. Personally I don’t feel offended, my first thought when I saw her white imitation was “oh my god a friend of mine speaks like this”. If I would show this video to any person here in my town, they probably wouldn’t be offended as well. Maybe this is a cultural thing? As a german I can tell you there are worse things I experienced than what Wendy said. I know this probably doesn’t matter or you won’t care. 80% americans I met think I’m nazi and that I hate jews, I just tell them that I’m not but I don’t feel offended. Even if they make jokes about me that I’m some kind of hitlers granddaughter or whatever I just don’t feel offended, especially if I know that they make jokes. Hell, sometimes I even laugh about it. But I tell you we HAVE racist issues here in germany, especially after getting so many refugees and we have even more issues when it comes to religion, the nation is split 50:50. There are many whites out there spreading awareness, but consider the fact that many people don’t even know that mimicking a different race or stereotype is a bad thing. If I showed this to my neighbours they wouldn’t even see the problem in first place. And I’m gonna be honest, before I joined the stan internet I didn’t even know that such things can be offensive. I hope you understand my point of view and I’m in no way making any excuses. + I’m sorry if I did write smth wrong my english isn’t perfect

It’s certainly a cultural difference. The valley girl accent is not seen as harmful as being considered the “difficult, ghetto, too sassy to deal with black girl.” Your English is fine and you say you’re from Germany, but isn’t there issues out there too with black people?

This stereotype that black men are thugs or black women are ghetto and perpetuating it to a homogenous community of people who do not have day to day contact with black people is poisonous. They see Wendy do this and they’re gonna think all black people do this.

And because they exist, it has affected the way other races who are in positions of power see us black people. Whether we get hired for this job. Whether we’re deemed a valuable asset in the work force or not.

In Asian countries, it’s preferred to have white/European teachers rather than black ones because they believe black teachers are a “bad influence.” This stereotype is poisonous and as a North American herself, she should KNOW BETTER.

Black people should not have to be coaching a westerner herself, a grown ass woman, a 24 year old, on how the “sassy black woman” trope is a played out character trope.

And frankly, if Americans are calling you a Nazi, they’re ignorant and you have every right to call them out because they should know better. Feeling offended is up to the person, if you’re not fine. But then again, the blonde bimbo trope is not nearly as poisonous as the ghetto black girl one.

Well the part where I live there aren't many black people. Only a few and most of them are Priests in our churches (I don't know why) and people like them. We have many refugees and people complain about them, but it's not about the race itself, there are different reasons why many germans dislike them, especially the religious point. On the other hand many people try to help as much as they can. I don't know how it is in capital cities but where I live people usually don't mind black people, only a few exceptions, but those idiots exist everywhere. 😞 The only thing I get really mad about is, we have an old comedy show that does blackface all the time and it's so disgusting.

I see your point of view and I can understand that most of you are hurt and I'm sorry for that. You said yourself that the blonde white girl imitation is not the same...this is probably the reason many whites don't feel offended (at least I didn't see anyone yet).

I hope you know just because we don't feel offended doesn't mean we don't care about you guys. It's a personal thing and there are also some black people who don't feel offended as well.

I'm mostly afraid to say my opinion on topics like this because in the end it's about black people and I'm not black. I can't say if people should be offened or not. It's everyones own feelings and I hope everyone does respect it wether they are offended or not.

I hope she and the cast of the show know what they did wrong

With the canceling, calling someone things that are gonna hurt, you are not better than the one who offended you. You are not changing absolutely anything. You’re showing you are no better than the one who hurt you.

Be graceful, walk away, don’t say a thing, if you want to fight, don’t use bashful,hateful words, because no one is reading those, no one is gonna react to those. Such words have never made a change. If you want to change something, that’s not the way.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t feel offended. Feel whatever you want. That’s your choice. To let such things anger you, trigger emotions, that hurt no one else but you, it’s a waste. It’s a waste of your nerves, that your body will never re-generate.

Because let me tell you the ugly truth - she may want to apologize, but SM will never let her. Apologizing isn’t SMs way. She may have conciousness, but they’ll never let her. Right now, Sm’s management team is doing everything they can for her not see to see anything. Most likely she is oblivious to everyone’s words.

You think that their Insta and Twitter are ran by the girls, no. They are run by their managers. It’s the truth of show business. So Wendy won’t see shit, she probably didn’t the last time too.
