Now he can't sleep because of the excruciating pain, and we can't afford his medications and painkillers to alleviate his suffering because of their high prices. I don't know what to do!

Help Nader, please. He needs pain medication and surgery and to get those things he needs exorbitant amounts of cash. They don't have much in savings right now, last time Nader reported for living expenses such as rent/etc (extremely high and not fixed) is only a little over $10k, and this is dwindling because of gaps in donations.

That might sound like a lot, but it's absolutely not. If I had $10k, with the price of living so high I could survive about 6 months in my city before running out of money for rent and groceries, I didn't even factor my utilities.

Imagine a city that has been for the most part cut from the outside world. Resources are limited and the money is draining fast. If you're working class with a job, think about how hard it is for you to save money in an economy that may be suffering but isn't being strangled.

It's almost impossible to get ahead. And to get out is hundreds of thousands with his family members and father's medical expenses.

I can't fathom how hopeless he must feel.

Very very important 💔

My pregnant wife was shot in the chest as she prepared to receive our first child.

I never imagined that I would write these words or live this nightmare.

My wife is in her fifth month of pregnancy, and she was trying to live simple moments of joy in the midst of the war. I went out that day to see some of the children's clothes and prepare the needs of our first baby that we are waiting for impatiently.

But instead of returning home carrying clothes for our child, she returned to the hospital soaked in her blood after being shot in the chest.

In moments our dreams and joy turned into fear and terror. We ran to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery to check on her life and the life of our unborn child. Due to difficult conditions and lack of medical capabilities, doctors have not been able to remove the bullet, and it is still stable inside its chest until now.

In the past couple of years, he has been struck with shrapnel twice, once in his back and once in his brain, his wife had to undergo cancer treatment for stage 4 cancer on her own, they gave birth to a baby but weren't able to feed him and he starved for days if not weeks, a wall collapsed on their tent and they were stuck under the rubble for 15 minutes before being rescued, and just 2 months ago, their 5 year old son passed away and now they have to pay off the debt they took on to pay for funeral expenses. this website has left my disabled trans sister to die a few times now. she used to be a regular heavy user of it before it repeatedly did to her what it does to trans women.

To every kind heart that didn't abandon us during the darkest days of our lives,

I write to you today with a heavy heart, burdened by fear and weariness, because our suffering is far from over.

The war may have subsided in the eyes of the world, but it still lives with us every day. We still wake up to the sounds of shelling, fear, and anxiety, and we still live amidst a harsh post-war crisis, without safety or stability.

Life has become indescribably difficult.

The prices of food, medicine, and basic necessities have skyrocketed, and even the simplest things that were once commonplace are now a dream for us. There are days we spend thinking only about how we will secure food, or how we will manage to survive another day.

Sometimes I feel ashamed to repeatedly ask for help, but circumstances are beyond our control, and after God, we have no one but your compassionate hearts.

If you are able, please consider supporting me monthly, even with a small amount. A monthly donation gives us something we have long missed: a sense of security and the knowledge that we will not be suddenly left alone in the midst of this pain.
