Puni Arte, This whisky is limited. Only 3900 bottles have been produced. It is aged in bourbon barrels and then matured in islay barrels. The result is an ingenious combination of flavors in which the peat is precisely dosed in the background. Puni manages to make his whiskys taste older than they really are for a 6-year old. Italy’s first whisky distillery has been in the idyllic Vinschgau Valley, in the middle of the Alps and surrounded by grain fields. This was originally released for travel retail. Maturation was initially carried out in traditional ex-Bourbon barrels before a second period in European oak casks that had been seasoned with Ruby Port.
