Kilchoman Whisky Sanaig Cask Strength

Kilchoman is the youngest and also one of the smallest distilleries on Islay. The distillery attaches great importance to traditional production methods, including growing its own barley, malting on site and distilling in small batches.

The Sanaig Cask Strength is a variant of the regular Sanaig, but bottled at cask strength. While the standard version is 46% vol., this special bottling comes straight from the cask without dilution, which usually means an alcohol content of between 55% and 58% vol.

The whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks (primarily Oloroso sherry), with the focus clearly on the sherry casks. These give the whisky its rich fruity flavours and deep complexity.
