She always kept things to herself, not because she had nothing worth sharing, but because she had many things worth stealing and was afraid of that. Her words and thoughts, once out of her mouth could be twisted by anyone into whatever they wanted, she did not want her words to no longer belong to herself. Art can be stolen, pictures redefined, words twisted, and all in all things will not have the same meaning to anyone else as they did to her. Eventually everything turned inward and her mind was racing with all the thoughts that she never wanted anyone to understand. Books hidden, pictures burned, she refused to let anyone else know the pieces of her soul. One day she met a boy who loved to fix things that were broken, and she ripped her soul into pieces for him to put together. But he kept the best for himself and got bored with the rest, and one day he up and left her. She sewed the rest together with thoughts of fairies and magic, things of hope to keep her going. She grew older and found a boy who dreamed of killing fairies and all the things she loved, she decided this was a better thing to fill her heart with. He left her when he found that her soul was too dark for his own liking after all. It was now that those monsters were stuck in her mind and she shut everyone else out, to keep her own thoughts in. She was so close to breaking when she found someone was different, he longed just to know what was in her mind. She shared the beauty and horror of everything within and he took it, twisted it, and gave it away. It was then, that she turned her mind to the darkest thoughts of all. And on her last night she realized the only way the thoughts would stay within her and only her, was when she was in her grave.
