I need more failure!twin Elrond representation. I just can't imagine that Elrond and Elros were still developing similary in those 500 years after the choice, so while Elros was being responsible and a good king, building a family and generally being reasonable, Elrond was still just a young adult and probably partying every night, and sure, he had a job as the kings herald, but Gil-Galad was probably doing drugs with him, and so while Elros was maturing and living a full life, Elrond was still pursuing his secret dream of being the elvish equivalent of a rockstar (he did live with Maglor for most of his life), looking for Maglor, binge-drinking and being a bit of a failure. And Elros was watching his twin being essentially 18 for the rest of his life.
