“if you must die, i’ll envy even the earth that wraps your body”
— Albert Camus, State of Siege.
rainy days, good books, coffee, tea, cold weather, autumn season, sweaters, the smell of pastries or baked goods, sunsets and sunrises, gorgeous buildings, and libraries with high ceilings.

they’re a 10 but they prefer fictional characters over real people.
“You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit.”
— Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray.
at this point it’s me and my books against the world.
nothing compares to the comfort of watching the waves in an ocean move. the sound of the waves crashing to the shore and the smell of the fresh and salty air.
hozier wrote “and I couldn't whisper when you needed it shouted.” AND “we'll lay here for years or for hours, your hand in my hand, so still and discreet.” and still expected me to be okay.
How would you define Dark Academia
“Dark Academia, in general, is an aesthetic or subculture that revolves around romanticising university and academia.”
Dark academia is reading at midnight with candles being your only light source. It’s always wearing dark clothes, blazers, or tweed pants. It’s having an unhealthy addiction to coffee. It’s carrying around a leather satchel full of poetry books that were written years and years ago. It’s either being the quiet observant student at the back of the classroom or the know-it-all student that starts debates out of nowhere. It’s looking at old buildings that still have touches of history to them and yearning to always live in one. It’s being obsessed with greek mythology and writing essay’s on top of essays about theories you have. It’s always wanting to be at libraries because they give you a sense of comfort you’ve never felt before. It’s appreciating old architecture and art because you know you’ll never see anything like it again. It’s overanalyzing the works of famous poets. It’s listening to classical music when you’re studying or doing tedious tasks.
Dark Academia can be anything you want it to be, you control how dark academia looks like in your life. These are just a few things that I associate dark academia with :)
Which is your favourite book?

Untitled Painting (2000) by Nicola Samori (1977-present)
Kill Your Darlings (2013 film)
the combination of the smell of books and the sound of rain…absolute perfection.
“I don't know where my road is going, but I know that I walk better when I hold your hand.”
— Alfred de Musset
