The Wine Curve

Hey I'm Tess! I grew up in Maryland in a household full of wine, casually tuning out all the miscellaneous wine facts my wine broker father would tell me. Now I'm 21, thoroughly enjoy wine and have this craving to learn more and totally regret dosing off during all those wine talks. So now I'm a wino in the making and want you to learn about wine with me. PS. When I'm not pretending to be a professional wine connoisseur, I'm finishing up my journalism degree at the University of Oklahoma, will hardly ever (jk never) turn down a cookie and my roommate is convinced I only eat cheese.

Can You Pour Too Much Wine?

Apparently the Greeks believed that you could. Way back when, the ancient Greeks decided that the best way to make sure no one drank too much was to pour wine into a Pythagorean Cup.

Basically, once you pour the wine to a certain point it will drain out the bottom.

Uh what? Who even thinks of these things?
