I'm back on my Teen Wolf rewatch and I disagree with my previous statements.
Yes, Scott has moments where he is deeply selfish, but he is also so annoyingly good. He strays from his purpose and duty to chase after Allison, but his heart is always in the right place even if I often disagree with how he chooses to solve things.
(I'll forever be salty about him secretly plotting with Gerard and forcing Derek to give him the bite. Hasn't Derek been used enough throughout the show? Just a man constantly feeling like his body is not his own, and it continues with Jennifer in the next season.)
The thing that really swung me around to Scott were episodes Frayed and Motel California in Season 3. This man really about gets himself killed because of his survivor's guilt. He refuses to let himself heal, and then the wolfsbane poisoning causes him to almost light himself on fire all because he thinks Derek is dead. (He's not and the cut from Scott saying Derek is dead to Derek having sex with the villian of the season is hilarious). And keep in mind Scott doesn't even really like Derek. They are just tentative allies at this point who constantly have a common enemy.
