Anakin’s eyebrows bent into a bow as he listened to the woman speak before responding pragmatically. “ I still see no relevance in having that inept technology” The blue hubs of the man glanced at phone from the other. Though it had been some time since Anakin had spoken with Wanda, it was pleasant to see her again. Wanda had been Anakin’s first friend when arriving to Magnolia, a few months prior. The male extended his hand outward before speaking to the female in a composed tone. “ If you don’t mind, let me see that milady.”  As he took Wanda’s phone, Anakin opened the back and studied the materials carefully. “ Why were you a  fugitive?”. He asked without breaking his gaze from the phone.Anakin loved mechanics and fixing things, in fact he couldn't count on hand how many times he had helped Wanda with hers. 

      Wanda rolled her eyes in a playful manner, “ And how are we going to communicate if you don’t use a phone ?? ” The sokovian was glad to see her old friend again. Her brother’s sudden appearance in the small town ( What a weird and unexpected coincidence !! ) gave her a reason to come to the place where she used to live. She hadn’t realized how much she needed a break from the cat and mouse situation until she moved here again. “ Of course. ” She handed him the phone. “ It’s because of the Lagos -- Long story short: The avengers had a fight and government thinks some of us are dangerous because they wanted to take our freedom and we didn’t agree. ” The brunette ended her sentence with a shrug.

Jaina listened intently, very interested in what Wanda had to say. She made a mental note to look up what the other girl was talking about. “So, a team of super-powered people?” She wondered if the Force would be considered a super-power here, no one let her figure that one out. “Complicated doesn’t even start to cover our family, honestly.” She chuckled “My uncle was usually off world, at the Jedi temple on Yavin-4, my mother was where-ever the war decided she was needed, the same with my father, but me and my siblings had friends on Corscurant, and then when we went to join our uncle on Yavin-4, the other padawans were our friends.” She smiled fondly at the memories, though it did spark some sadness. “My older brother Ben always did his thing, I usually followed him, Jacen and I were twins, so we were either doing everything together or upstaging each other, it drove poor uncle Luke crazy, and our baby brother Anakin - he was a martyr.” 

      Wanda made a face. Had she done the bad thing by lying to the woman ?? Maybe. But nothing was more important than her brother’s and her safety. “ Yup, they are cool. ” Wanda furrowed her eyebrows. “ Wow, uh that’s -- I don’t even know what to say about your family. --- Family dinners must be difficult. And thanksgiving -- or whatever public holidays you have in the other galaxy. All the space families are like yours or it’s just you ?? ” When she heard the woman’s words about her younger brother she sighed, “ I’m sorry to hear that. ------- I have a twin too. His name is Pietro, we stay here together. Silver-haired and kinda looks like me. It’s hard to not notice him. ”

“I am, obviously a different galaxy, it’s very strange adjusting to earth.” She raised her brows at Wanda, head tilting in curiosity. “I’ve read some things, but they’re true? Could you tell me more?” Jaina grinned when Wanda asked about her home planet, more than happy to tell her. “It was big, and beautiful, it has four moons, and a population of roughly 2 trillion, mostly human. It’s basically a city - except the entire planet’s a city. And it’s smaller than earth, but not by too much. Lots of skyscrapers and business going on. We traveled on speeders and the best way to describe them is a flying car? I’ve yet to actually touch a car here, but that’s the closest thing I can think of. I’ve traveled to plenty of planets, and it’s one of my favorites, asides from my fathers homeworld.”

      Wanda crinkled her nose, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to lie or not. “ --- Uh -- There is this group of people -- powerful people called ‘ the Avengers ’, they are the earth’s mightiest heroes. At least that’s what the newspapers say. The super soldier. Ironman. The big green guy. The Norse God. And the other powerful people. They all are the members of this team. ” It wasn’t a lie, right ?? She had just hidden some of the information. As the witch listened to the other girl’s description of the planet, her eyes sparkled with curiosity. “ It sounds like the places from the sci-fi books. ------- Did you have a family or any friends there ?? If it’s a -- um, complicated subject for you, I understand. ”

“No. Nothing… Why did you name your galaxy the milky way though?” Frowns Rey, “And what’s Asgard? No, I’m from Jakku, but I move around a lot more these days.”

      “ I have no idea. Maybe the scientist who named the galaxy was drunk. Maybe it has some sciency weird explanation. ” Wanda made a face, gave the other girl a shrug. “ It’s where the norse gods come. -- Okay... So I’m guessing you have a spaceship or something like that. ” She said, the excitement was clear in her voice.

     It wasn’t her intent to bump into anybody on her walk back toward her apartment but the sudden phone call distracted her. “ Sorry. ” The brunette muttered to the man. Reaching into her bag, she fished out her phone. “ I swear to god if it’s from a credit card service --- of course, it’s from a credit card service. ” An annoyed huff escaped her lips as she answered the phone. “ Look, I don’t own a credit card. And I’m not interested. ” And that was the whole conversation, she hung up and faced the man. “ Again, I’m sorry. ”

“If there is one thing we do not have, it’s patience.” Pietro pointed out, a lopsided smile on his face which then turned into one of mock innocence. “What? I have no idea what you are talking about, truly. It hurts me that you think of me in that way, little sister.”

      “ I’m not an impatient person. I do yoga. And meditate. Excuse you. ” The younger twin said, rolling her in a playful manner. She opened the refrigerator door to add the fresh grocery, making sure the old ones, organized and sorted in their places. “ I think that three unfortunate doorknobs would not agree with that, Pietro. ”

    ’ good - thank you. ’ she replied, laughing a bit at the expression on the girl’s face. she’s still getting used to this century’s clothes, and most especially - the shoes. so, tripping after taking a step or two in them wasn’t exactly a highlight on the schuyler sister’s day - nor something she wanted to be spread around.

      Letting her shoulders rose and fell, Wanda gave the woman a smile. “ No problem. -- By the way, are you okay ?? No sprained ankle, right ?? I just want to make sure. ” The warm smile never leaving her lips as she spoke.

      Wanda bit her inner cheek to stop herself from laughing. “ Look. You’re a good company but I’m not interested. I’m flattered but not interested. ” Entering the bookshop, the smile she had donned before found its place on her face. “ Okay, I’m going to find Leaves of Grass, and some psychology books. ”

      The brunette began walking to the given address. As she heard what the redhead said, she shook her head, laughing. “ What ?? No -- no. I’ve been here before in Magnolia. We’ve talked but I haven’t learned your name. ”

Pietro shot his twin a look but he couldn’t help but laugh. “You could have called for me, you know.” Truthfully, they had gone through doorknobs many times before this because of him being too impatient. But would he pass up the chance to make fun of his sister? Never.

      The brunette scoffed. “ That doorknob got what it deserved. A hex. ” Of course she was not going to tell her brother she hadn’t thought that because her patience had been long gone. “ Acting innocent, hm ?? Like we don’t know how many doorknobs you’ve broken. ” She said while putting the plastic grocery bags on the ground.

“I’m from a planet called Corscurant. Not small at all. But it is beautiful.” She paused slightly, one eyebrow raised. “I wish the term evil robot surprised me, but honestly, at this point I don’t think anything will.”

      “ You’re from space ?? ” Wanda mouthed a ‘ wow ’, her smile still visible in her eyes. “ Evil robots, superheroes, Norse Gods... they all are everyday news. Earth is a weird place. ----- What was the other planet like ?? ”

      “ The milky way galaxy, the third planet from the sun ?? Still nothing ?? ------- Are you from Asgard ?? If you’re this place is also called Midgard. ”

micaiah was just trying to orient herself in this new place. figure out the best places to hide, what the best routes would be if she needed to make a hasty getaway - anything that could help should an issue demanding her leaving arise. so, as it was, she walked down the street, her heels lightly clicking against the pavement as she swept her gaze around, keeping an eye out for alleyways or the like.

unusual storefronts passed beneath her gaze, and she frowned. this world was nothing like her home. seeing someone ahead of her, the silver haired woman had every intention of just continuing on her way around, but the other’s voice stopped her. “i don’t know,” she answered honestly. “i haven’t been here for very long. i could help you look.” at the very least, it would give her even more of an idea of the town, and bookshops or libraries were two of her favorite places.

      The brunette gave the silver-haired woman another smile, this one was more sincere than the other. “ That’s okay. Don’t worry about it. ” 

      “ -- Oh, that would be great !! And you said you’re new, if you want we can tour the town, after of course, we found the bookshop ?? -- Well, I’m not new. I’ve been here before, eight months ago. Right now, I’m trying to make a mental map of the town. ” She said in her thick sokovian accent. If she had to be honest, she had nothing interesting to do. The avenger life was all action; all that adrenaline and fighting bad guys made every day more interesting. Not that she didn’t like the life with her brother in this town, her brother was alive and that was the most important thing but it didn’t make their less monotone. Maybe spending time with people would change that
