Does anyone know if it's true that Rapunzel is mentioned or referenced in the Frozen novels? Does anyone know exactly what it says?

Rapunzel herself is never mentioned in the novels but Forest of shadows (2019) does make three references to the kingdom of Corona: in chapter 1 where it's listed as one of Arendelle's neighbouring kingdoms, in chapter 25 where some silk scarves are said to be "gifts to the court of Corona", and in chapter 26 where Anna recognises the flag of Corona on a ship.

Another implied reference appears in Dangerous secrets (2020) where in chapter 48 Agnarr and Iduna present a cover story about attending "the wedding of a faraway princess by route of the Southern Sea" which undoubtedly was added by author Mari Mancusi as a reference to the popular fan-theory that Agnarr and Iduna were travelling to the wedding of Rapunzel and Eugene in Frozen (also hinted at by director Jennifer Lee).

The story of Tangled is retold by Olaf in the shorts-series Olaf presents (2021) where Olaf (presumably) refers to Rapunzel as "a close personal friend of mine."

My little finding outside the movies - "Waffle Brothers Bakery" ❄️

My sixth finding is how many appearances of Waffle Brothers Bakery in various books 😄 It was owned by the brothers Bjarne and Bjørn who were always quarrel for everything. As I've found this bakery's having lots of appearances compared with other bakeries (excluded Blodget's Bakery 😂)

"Just when you weren't looking" was the first appearance of brothers Bjarne and Bjørn and they are among the most featured side characters in the entire Frozen franchise! What's better is that they both have strong personalities which are always portrayed accurately.

They are featured in everything ranging from Frozen magazine comics, the Dark horse comics and in the official novels, something which characters originating in comic books NEVER seem to do, so someone in the editing department surely likes them!

The Waffle brothers made another appearance in the Papercutz comic "The Krumkake Run" by Katie Cook in 2024. In this story, which takes place before Frozen, they are shown to have competing waffle stands just like in their first appearance in "Just when you were't looking." For once, someone's making sure the timeline of these two characters is actually kept consistent! - Link
