"001 The Last Time I Was Home" is the first song in a new collection of original music by The Workday Release called Songs from a Sketchbook. The point of this project is to release music exactly as I write it. No heavy editing, no extra instruments/effects, no over fixing of any kind. The Workday Release 2016

I have so much to say about this record and how I feel about it and The Workday Release as a whole, but maybe this is the simplest way of putting it for now...

I wrote this record as though it will be my last.

For 8 years, The Workday Release has been a huge part of my life and I am grateful for everything I have experienced and everyone I have met along the way.

What I love so much about this record is that I wrote it for me.

I didn’t think about what I had written before, I didn’t think about radio, I didn’t think about sales, I didn’t think about trying to please anyone else.

I sat at my piano and wrote for the sake of loving to write.

I do hope you like it.

It’s called Dark Pacific.
