We did a fun local trip to Fort McHenry over the weekend! My son was learning about the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner 🇺🇸 before school ended, we had to pay a visit. I love doing our fun family outings!

Our beautiful red Crepe Myrtles in full bloom this summer! My favorite trees 🌳 ❤️

Super summer happening! I am on my healthy journey! Cleaner eating, more veggie, fruits and water and less chips and fried food. Less bloating and feeling good!
We had a wonderful trip to Lancaster and Poconos over the July 4th weekend! We celebrated the 250th birthday of the USA 🇺🇸 and had so much fun going to the fair, Crystal Cave (nice and cool down there), Mini golf, shopping, seeing Amish people, and eating at Dutch buffets! I love these low key roadtrips out to the country.
Official summer start this past weekend! School is out and we immediately headed out to the beach! The weather was nice and it wasn’t crazy crowded. I sprained my pinky toe the first night so it’s been a bit of an inconvenience during the past few days but I managed through. There’s always something when I go to Ocean City. Finally home and resting.
Back at our secluded private neighborhood pool! We love it here! Water was refreshing. Not too many people surprisingly. Just a nice relaxing afternoon.
We finally did our friends trip for a tennis vacation at Rehoboth and Ocean City! It’s quite a different vacation without kids! We had had 8 hours of tennis over the weekend plus beach time and a lovely dinner out by the bay. We're already talking about doing it again next year! I am so grateful for this trip, connecting with friends, getting some good exercise and relaxing. Sometimes I ask myself, wow was that real? I haven't had that in a long time!
It’s been a crazy few weeks. It’s been a slow mass accumulation of random annoying things that have happened to me. Just one thing after another. One issue gets solved and then I think I can just relax for a little and then another pop up. From rainy holiday weekend, bug problems, lost jewelry, awful interclub matches, my son’s anxiety issues, tennis vacation changes, and now to my dad needing a procedure done right before my tennis vacation and me panicking that I might have to miss the whole vacation… It’s been incredibly stressful. I am just so tired. My mind is just exhausted.
I had a great and busy week in Charlotte, North Carolina for a conference and client event. It was so nice to meet my colleagues in person. It was the most valuable part of my trip. I haven’t gone to a trade show in many years so it was interesting to see how much things have changed. It has definitely made my life easier!
And it’s so fun to bring home trade show stuff for my son. He loves all the stuffed animals, toys and candies! It’s so sweet to see him happy with it!
I really appreciate the small things that light us up.
I had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. The best part was not doing too much! I felt very relaxed, happy, calm and relaxed. I wasn’t forcing myself to do things and I have been learning not to "over extend." It's been a big problem for me at work but I definitely see it in my personal life. We do so much more than we should and try to fix problems, and comfort people emotionally... it's taken a toll. I learned I need to step back and let things handle itself.
So I let time flow this weekend. My son wanted to do movie night both nights and we did just that! Stayed in, got comfy, made popcorn and watched some kid movies. I didn't let other things get into my mind and it was just wonderful.
Early evening walk for some fresh air. It’s that time of year with cherry blossoms and flowering trees floating in the air.
Work is getting manageable and I am creating space for myself. I am protecting my energy professionally and personally. I feel calmness and peace again.
Just came back from a relaxing and much needed spring break vacation. We brought our bikes to Ocean City this time and it really made the trip so different. It gave us a different look of Ocean City. We also biked to Assateague Island and encountered wild horses up close!
These days, I feel so much more at peace and present. Nothing is perfect but the last month was very tough on me with work and I actually started to call things out, bring in my VPs for help, tell them what's going on instead of absorbing everything, pretending everything was OK and quietly trying to fix things. Everything was survival mode my entire life. For once, I'm purposely making that shift from survival to thriving and fulfillment.

Wishing you a very Happy Valentine's Day and a Happy Chinese New Year! I wish you much love, happiness and prosperity.
For me, this is my time to thrive. I am moving from survival mode to thriving mode.
It's been a little bit of a wild start to the year. We got lots of snow but it wasn't all the pretty, light, fluffy, fun snow we wanted. We got the ice, sleet and freezing rain on top of snow. It's been one week and it's still a bit frozen and dodgy out there. Schools have been closed for a week now. My child has gone feral.
We've been out and about for the last few days. Luckily, I've been able to work from home with no issues, somewhat entertain my son and keep active with swimming, tennis and working out. Trying to be back to "normal".
We're already into February and I feel like I've been two steps up and one step back, so making progress in small ways. Last year was a "discovery" year for me. This year it's an "applying the practice" phase. It's wonderful to understand things and know who I am better than ever but it's causing me to go into overdrive and "think too much" hence this is like the one step back trip up. At least recognizing this is helping.
Ending the year with a visit to Annapolis, Maryland. We visited the state capital and the Naval Academy. I love learning the history, walking around historic places, and just being outside overlooking a great view.
This year has also been THE year that I got to know myself so much better... I just have a better understanding of who I am overall. For decades, I've always wondered why I was "this way" and why I viewed things so differently, why I processed things so differently and deeply. It's like I finally got to know ME. This clarity has been amazing and I hope I learn more and become a better, happier, healthier me in 2026 and into the future.
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year!

Wishing everyone a very happy holiday season with another year upon us! I am so looking forward to taking a break from work, having that downtime and just enjoying fun activities with my son and family. It's been a very tough time at work and I'm just riding the waves. I keep saying I want a change but wow it's (still) tough everywhere!
This has been the best year for me socially. I've connected with more people, nurturing friendships and being so much more socially active like going out with friends for dinner, doing fun activities together. Our family also joined a tennis and swim club earlier in the year and it's been one of the best decisions ever for us. I am forever grateful and my heart is so filled with joy. It all started with my prayer early this year and god helped me through.
As my son grows up, our daily life is changing. It's easier for sure as he becomes so much more self sufficient but he is becoming a little man! Something I will need to navigate very soon...
We went to see Luminocity over Thanksgiving weekend! Really pretty! It was great to spend a lot of time with our out-of-town family, putting up the Christmas tree and then rounding out the holiday weekend with tennis. I felt it was just right this time - not chaotic busy but a good balance with some downtime at the end (to clean up, of course!).
So thankful for family, friends, good health and stability ❤️
