We were the only ones on the peninsula that day.
Evening Saunter on Baxter Boulevard, || Photo by Garrick
I watch the sunset as often as I can.
Did my annual expedition to the top of Mt. Bayside today.
This photo was taken almost a year ago. I had a bit of a meltdown at work & was forced to take a mini-vacation so Drake & I drove up to Acadia National Park for a long weekend.
This photo was taken on our ride up Cadillac Mountain wherein I literally ran Drake ragged. His poor little paws were raw & bloody by the time we got back to the campsite. Drake was so pathetic that I had to lift him in & out of the truck. The next day after we had returned home, Drake stayed in bed except when I lifted him down to go outside.
Auntie Anna complained that she hadn’t seen any recent photos of sweet baby Drake. The truth is, it’s been a longass, frozen winter here in northern New England & I haven’t had much motivation to take any new photos of Drake. I’m just so tired of being cold.
So to fight back against this neverending winter, I will be posting warm summertime photos for the rest of the week. Here’s a photo of Drake sunning himself on the fire escape last summer.
This is my favorite cat EVER!
Just only 13 years old, Zev (Fiddle Oak) creates a fantasy dreamland through his photographs. His camera is named Betsy. Zev’s sister and assistant Nellie is 17. They enjoy working and creating together. The magic of Fiddle Oak cannot be described in words; no word that already exists can accurately sum up the extreme talent and wonder of Zev and Nellie.
Amazing & Beautiful
Hey buddy, where's your ball?
This is my home.
Labrador.
Hundreds of miles of dirt roads, and more bears than humans.
Greetings, book friends! Some of you may have become acquainted with Corpus Libris over the last 5 years — when it started on a quiet night at Skylight Books in 2008, as it grew on Blogspot and Twitter, and as submissions came in from all over the world. It only seemed appropriate to breathe some new life into the project on Tumblr. You’ll revisit some photos you’ve seen before, you’ll see new ones, and hopefully, you’ll submit some yourselves!
All you have to do is click the red “Submit” button at the top of the page, select a photo, and for the caption, put the title of the book, the author(s), and where the photo was taken (either the bookstore/library/company, or the city). Or, if it’s easier for you, you can email corpuslibris AT gmail DOT com.
This project has been one of my biggest spots of joy over the last few years, and I’m excited to continue sharing it with all of you.
All the best,
Emily Pullen
