You aren’t quite sure what happened, but this is not where you were. You remember something vague about your mother saying dinner was ready. Maybe.
Who cares now? You’re not home obviously. You aren’t even sure if what you left behind truly matters anymore.
No, you are here now, in the cathedral of stained glass and choices, so you must choose.
What is your name?
Shurik.
Why do you have to enter your name? You know your name. There’d never be a time where you forget it. You entered it anyway. Why not?
You walk on through the cathedral as the voice in your head directs you too. Is it your own voice, or is the voice in your head someone else? Is there even a voice, or are you just aware someone is telling you what to do.
You keep walking on through the darkness, until you reach a door. The voice commands you to open it, so you do. As you enter, the door shuts behind you. You walked in with little regard to your safety. You don’t care. Perhaps you should, the voice tells you.
You enter the armory, and look around. Ahead of you are three pedestals and you are aware that you must choose your weapons. As you approach, you look at your weapons.
Ahead of you are
Sword
Sword
Sword
Choose a sword, or don’t, the choice is yours.
You ignore the voice and don’t choose any of the weapons. You sit there, in the room, trying to work out where you are.
Eventually the pedestals before you sink with a rumble, and chests drop down instead. You hurriedly open each one, aware that you now have to choose between them. In the first you find a Staff, in the second, a shield, and in the third, you find a banana suit. You can no longer choose a sword.
After careful delibiration, you take the Banana Suit. This probably has no long term effects on your health or your person, right?
You leave the room as the door clicks open, and head back out. You’re aware that this is not where you came from before, but.. that doesn’t matter. Nothing really matters here, you think.
You head out, and see it before you. Small, hulking. A shadow. It attacks you, and all you can do is strike and defend.
If you chose the banana suit, interpret the strike as you will.
You fight and battle, and eventually, you beat the enemy. You stand after, unsure of what happens next. Your banana suit starts glowing, and you look at it. It shimmers, and all of a sudden, you’re holding a large key in your hands. You’re aware that this is a ‘keyblade’
That’s pretty awesome. You take your new weapon happily and hold it in the air to the tune of a found item noise. YOU JUST WON A COMBAT!
Maybe in the future, you’ll get more fancy weapons upgrades!
You find yourself waking up in your own home, blinking slowly in the light. Yo’re no longer in the weird Cathedral of Stained Glass and Choices. You look out your window over your town. You’re not from an island, being from an island would be weird and difficult. What would you do? Find fish? No, fuck fish. You’re going to go buy food at the grocery store like normal people. Maybe get a corndog. Mmm. Corn dogs.
For now, you know you have to do other stuff. You head downstairs, and find your normal chore list on the fridge. After some orange juice, you look at the list. The only thing on it today was to rearrange furniture in the living room.
You think about it, weighing out your options. Eventually you settle on
Move the furniture with science.
After handling your chores (and adding a nice boost to your intelligence) You look at the clock. You have some time before work, so you decide To Go out. You think about what to do. You can go see some friends, or maybe go to the park. That’d be cool! Maybe you can go snag in a quick work out.
After some thinking, you decide to go to the park (+dex)
After wards you Head to work (+Munny +Strength +Int).
Are you asleep, or are you awake? You’re unsure. All you know is there is a voice guiding you in the darkness, and that they shall continue to guide you
....
will this path lead to darkness or salvation?
There is only one way to find out.
Follow....?
If you follow, the darkness starts to recede, welcoming you to wherever you are.
You guys collectively make the worst decision ever.
First off, you appoint a DM who has never played D&D before. She is now in charge. She immediately decides that no one starts off with anyone else. You all have to come up with different quests. Or, well, she comes up with them for you. Or something. Who knows.
First off, Character developement.
Sure, we’ll start with that because SOMEONE needs to go and buy parts to make this game
