Amortentia

I close my weary eyes, finally letting go of the rigid control of life, and allowing myself to get swayed away by blurry dreams.

But your face comes into view, more clear and real than I remember it to be, haunting my soul after years of repressing you in my heart.

Your memories tore through my conscience, leaving behind a white hot scar, a mark of a dried wound bleeding lusciously, ever once again.

Do I deserve this torture? Why cannot I escape this personal chamber of hell?

Why can't I free myself from you? Is this what you romantics call true love - a never ending circle of utter lunacy, driven into such hysteria that even my own tears fail to release the ache i bear within my mortal body, and screams so loud yet so frigid, that your ears fail to pick it up for you to hear and think.

The pain is me, and I know ever well that the cure is also me. The bitter medicine is on the tip of my tongue, and all i have to do is swallow it into my hollow aching chest, and fill it with laughter and happiness, like it always was, once again .
