Emma chuckled lightly and returned the hug with just as much strength before they both pulled away. To say she was happy to see Addison again was understatement. It had been too long since either of them saw one another after Emma had left. 

“It’s good to see you too!” Emma said happily, a wide smile displayed on her scarlet lips. “Oh, your dad’s in Gotham? That’s interesting, care to tell me who he is? Well, it’s not like I’d know him maybe but still, I’d like to know.” “I’m … alright. At least, i’d like to think i am.” Ever since the death of Aasia, it had been hard for Emma to really move on. It first happened with her mother and that tore her apart. But Aasia had been there to help for her when she needed. However, now he was gone too. “I just miss Aasia a lot. And the League. I came here because I had no other place to go and the Commissioner of the GCPD, Jim Gordon … he offered for me to stay with him and Barbara. So, I accepted it. They’ve been very nice to me, both of them. I’m starting to like it here in Gotham again. Except, this school is very intimating and I though I’d have to go through it alone– but here you are! I’m so glad to see you here!”

“Yes, I do.” Emma answered his first question, very happy to be with the Gordon family. They were kind and sweet to her and did not treat her as some sad puppy that needed to be coddled. They understood her better than anyone, with the exclusion being Jason. And Addison. “Bruce Wayne’s your dad?!” Emma’s eyes widened in surprise, not expecting that to be the case. It was the multi-billionaire playboy CEO of Wayne Enterprises who had been the father of her best friend. Who would have thought? “Oh, I see.” Emma frowned slightly, wanting him to stay in this school so they could go through it together. She didn’t think he had came her unwillingly, just to appease their father. “I’m glad I got to see you here. It’s been so long since we last saw each other. I was’t sure when we’d ever reunite again.” “I’d love to get a cappuccino, that’s my favorite thing to order at the cafe!” Emma exclaimed, the mention of getting coffee already boosting her up. She smirked at Addison’s offer, mischief reflecting off her eyes. “No trouble, you say? I’m definitely in.”

Gotham Academy one of the best schools in Gotham and the school Bruce Wayne was trying to make his daughter attend but to no avail, because Addison is very determined to finish high school where he chose.But somehow Addison went to see this school at the request of their father that is what they say he was just happy to skip classes at her school

"No Sabrina I will not change schools I am here just to make baba shut up he is annoying beside- wait what do you mean if I stay here more than 2 days you will not let me stay at the same desk as you ?"Addison said as she spoke on the phone with her classmate

Emma’s eyes widened when she took in the other person clearly, she was definitely not mistaken. It had to be the very person she had befriended back in the League of Shadows. There was no doubt about that. “Oh gods, Addison! It really is you!” Emma exclaimed, taking another step closer to them. She was so happy to see someone she recognized, someone she knew. Someone who was her friend. “How’d you come here? I thought you would remain in the League. Did something happen?” Everything seemed to leave from Emma’s lips quickly, but the young girl couldn’t help it.

If there was one thing Emma learned from the time she spent in the League, it was this. Always be aware of your surroundings. By doing this, you could also detect threats . . . or the opposite in this case.

Emma had been attending Gotham Academy for about four months since she left the League of Assassins. Aasia was killed by Ra’s and Emma did not want to continue any further with her mentor dead. So, she left and went back home. To Gotham. It wasn’t at all like how’d she expect it to be when she returned, but it was home.

There were times the young girl would find herself isolating from the other students, lingering in the halls on her own just so that she could steer clear of anyone else. She didn’t want to associate with anyone, especially when she was still grieving over her mentor. However, as she walked down the hall to her English class, something —or someone— caught her attention. 

Someone familiar.

“Addison, is that you?”

Emma held the book close to her, as though to protect it from anything that might damage it. “I will,” she promised, always being one to be extremely cautious when it came to possessions that were not her own-- especially with books. “I won’t let anything happen to it, I’ll bring it back in the same condition.”

 “I think writing it in my room would be good. I don’t want to lose it on the first day,” Emma nodded, looking down at the book before returning her attention on Addison. The smile on his face quickly made Emma return the gesture, “If that is what you’d like, so would I. I’ve never had much friends growing up so , , , it’d be nice if we could.”

Addison pointed to the right side of the library "That side is translated in english the left one has the original text I could read it to you but the dialect and language doesn’t sound too nice “Said Addie only to realise that Emma was looking at the shelves fool with books and ignoring him "Hello Earth to Emma you can pick some books they are meant to be read not just stared at” the young assassins said successfully bringing their companions attention

Emma blinked her eyes a few times once Addison brought her back from her intense focus on the books she was admiring, “Ah sorry, they’re all just so lovely I couldn’t help myself.” She smiled shyly at him, slowly pulling one book that drew most of her attention from the shelf she had been standing in front of.

“I wish I got to say the same applied for me,” Emma said, having never been exposed to such sophistication as this library room she was in. Everything about it allowed her to know that whoever was in possession of it was someone powerful. No one else could be capable of such a thing if otherwise.

Emma skimmed through the book she chose, already captivated by the story. However, not wanting to once again ignore Addison she closed the book and held it to her chest, “Am I allowed to take this with me outside of here to read?”

Emma embraced Aasia for as long as she could, listening to her voice as he apologized to her. “Why did you have to go?” She asked her between her sobs, closing her eyes tightly as tears streamed down her cheeks. “And-- h-how are you here?” She didn’t understand how it was possible-- or maybe she had but just wasn’t able to accept it. 

“You’re proud of me?” Emma asked her mentor once they slowly pulled back, her eyes meeting his. Those words meant everything to the young woman who had done as much as she could to make Aasia proud as her protégé. 

“I’d like that,” Emma said to her last words. “I miss how things used to be when you were here . . . but when you . . . I still don’t understand. What happened? How are you here?”

"This is my grandfather library he lived for a long time so he has a lot of books from where to choose "

“I’ll fight anyone or anything that was responsible for her death,” Emma clarified. “God or mortal or both.” Her willingness to go through with her plans was evident by the change of her tone in her voice. She was more sure and stable as she spoke, not hesitant or doubting herself. Not when it came to this.

At Addison’s words, Emma nodded her head and cooled herself down just a bit. “Thank you, I know I will make it possible . . . one way or the other.”

When the doors to the library were opened, Emma was entranced by the many many shelves of books that surrounded her and Addison. It was . . . breathtaking. The intricate, elegant designs of the shelves only added to it as she marveled at how many books had been stored here. It made sense since as Addison said, their grandfather lived for many centuries and that meant he could have collected all these books throughout those period of time.

“It’s so beautiful,” she whispered in awe, slowly spinning around to take in the details of the place before she ran to the nearest shelf. her fingers gently brushed against the books spines as she skimmed through the titles. “your grandfather’s so lucky to have a place like this. and with all these books,” she looked around again. “it’s like my own heaven right now.” Emma laughed.

“It’s alright,” Emma assured, grateful for his sympathy knowing it wasn’t out of pity but of understanding. “I never knew my father, until recently discovering that he was Hades. I was always close to my mom too . . . but she was taken from me.”

The memory of her mother, dead in her arms made her tense the slightest. This was why she was here. Why she took Aasia’s offer to let her train her. “It’s why I’m here. I want to hold them accountable for what they did. For killing her when she did not deserve it.”

At Addison’s last words, Emma found herself to relax a bit after the gruesome flashback and nod. “I’d like to visit the library,” she said. Books had been her favorite thing growing up, especially since she never really had friends besides the open pages of the stories she immersed herself in.

“I’ve always loved reading, it’s one of my favorite pastimes,” Emma told Addison. “How about you?”

Emma admired the beautiful garden, the vivid, enchanting colors of all the different flowers stole all her attention. It reminded her of what her mother used to love collecting back when she had been with her. There was always a vase or two in their house with the prettiest bouquet they could find. Sometimes Emma herself would gift it to her for her birthday, mother’s day, or any special occasion. Her mother absolutely adored flowers, and the area just reminded her so much of her.

She smiled dolefully at the memory before Addison spoke to one of the servants and she focused on their words . . . treat Emma like they treat us. That brought a soft expression filled with gratitude and contentment to mark her features. Already, Addison had been ready to welcome her like she was one of them. It was nice to know, especially with how their first encounter went.

Emma laughed lightly when Addison to her hand and led her somewhere else, keeping a firm yet gentle grip on his hand as she followed him. “I loved your garden, it’s very beautiful and I could see that your grandfather took very good care of it. I’m not one to love flowers— but my mom had and I know she would’ve loved to see this for herself if she could.”
