So I have a theory that Abigail is a golddigger. Hear me out. She is only on Ben’s side(doesn’t try to run away with the declaration) after there is concrete proof that the treasure exists(the cipher on the back of the Declaration). She said she would drop Ben to save the Declaration(after he dropped her to save it), which took Ben aback (because who says that). Also, in the sequel we find out that Abigail and Ben have broken up and Abigail has the house (despite Been being the one who found the treasure and probably paid for the house). And they only get back together after they find the City of Gold. So my theory is that Abigail doesn’t love Ben, just his money.
