“Really now? Distracted by what my good looks?” Sean teased playfully before shaking his head a bit. “Naw, y’probably know my twin, Presley. I’m Sean.” He moved to hold out his hand with a grin. “I work usually over at th’pawn shop. May have seen me there if y’been in there once or twice.”

“Ahh not much so far, other than people found out Presley isn’t Ettie’s real pa. It was me.” Sean snorted a bit. “Oh yeah thats true. Emmett likes passin’ out drinks to even the drunkest of men. and of course I do, man! We’ve gotta have our backs! Granted, strippers t’night are both male and female so...  I’m for sure gonna have fun with that.”

But I think it may be stripper night for the gals. I know the bartender Emmett will be joinin’ in on that. God knows that boy never misses a damn chance to show off t’Presley.”

     His self-hatred forced a frown, but he seemed to mean it in good will. Not in the manner that teenage girls did across Instagram, each one secretly vying for compliments and validation from their counterparts. “Oh please, I’d love to see your face on Vogue!” Of course, Vogue was a little too high caliber for her taste, but her mother had adored the magazine showcasing the American way, and Ingrid had fallen in love. “I feel as though that’s the most subtle a man has ever been when noting the fact they go to the gym —- usually it’s all protein shakes and ‘yeah I  work out, you don’t?’” Ingrid laughs, she always did do better with older company. 

“I mean, I’d like t’be on vogue, if they wrote ‘bout a pawn shop owner who had long hair and weird eyes.” He teased and rolled his eyes playfully. “Yeah, most guys are like that. Me on the other hand I’m more of the ‘Lemme lay back and sleep for like two hundred years and get my dad bod on ‘cause girls like that more than muscles’ type guy. Better t’cuddle, let’s be honest there. Who wants t’cuddle a skeleton or a rock?”

“He better be, or else he’ll have t’come stay with me an’ be a Pawn shop kitty.” Sean joked playfully. “I’ve been alright. Shop’s been busy so I’ve been gettin’ a lot of work done there. Jus’ sold a Les Paul for like a grand if I remember right to some boy with long blonde hair.”

I mean… someone call Vogue you’re about to be on the next front cover,” A little light teasing never hurt, right? “I do like the shirt though. And at least it fits.” 

“I would hope so..” Sean snorted a bit as he gently wiped at the shirt a few times, a nervous tick he’s always had. “Hell yeah! I wish honestly! Though this face? On Vogue? Doubt it honey. Ain’t no one in their right minds would take this face.” He snorted. “Thank ya. It’s actually his. And that’s true... Guess it’s a good thing I started working out again, right?”

“So, Presley needed someone to run the bar for a few days while he’s out so he doesn’t get in trouble with anything, so.... Since I look like him, he asked me to do it. Do I look enough like him and sound like him and such? I don’t even know what he says when he goes into work, but.... Atleast I get a damn cool shirt! It has flames and a devil on the back!” Sean adjusted the shirt a bit as he got more comfortable in it.

Ettie leaned over the pool table, squinting to make sure she’d be getting the final ball in. She had been taught how to play by her father and uncle, and had been playing for years so it was safe to say she had gotten very good at pool by then. One of the regular attenders at the bar, owned by her father, noticed her playing and made her a bet - he was clearly full of himself and way too confident that he’d beat her, but Ettie accepted happily. She’d probably end up giving the money to her dad anyway. So when she called the pocket and took her shot, she got a small smug look on her face when the eight ball sunk. “I believe I won.” She said to the man, who suddenly got red in the face. Instead of paying up, he set his cue aside and pushed her roughly. “You bitch, you cheated!” He exclaimed. Ettie barely had time to react before someone else stepped in.

Sean saw the man push Ettie and snarled. “Y’don’t fuckin’ do that!” He growled as he moved to pull the man away. “Y’wanna fuckin’ push someone and punch ‘em, y’do it t’me, not her.” He snapped. An’ as a matter of fact, she didn’t cheat. I taught ‘er how t’do that shit since I used to play pool back when I was her age. Now get the FUCK out b’fore I call up my brother and the cops, y’hear?!”
