Looking Back on a Legendary Baseball Career with David Ortiz
To learn more about David, follow @davidortiz on Instagram.
Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz (@davidortiz) will suit up for his final regular season baseball game of his 20-year career this weekend. “Boston took me in like I was one of their own,” David says. “I feel like this city has made me the man I am today.” As he prepares for life after baseball, David reflects on the teammate that had the biggest impact on his career, Pedro Martinez. “He’s the reason I’m on the Red Sox. When I was released by Minnesota he called the Red Sox up and told them they needed to sign me.” Traditions are also important for David. Throughout his career, each time David scores he looks up to the sky and points. “I do that in memory of my mom,” he says. “I lost her in 2002 and it was a really tough time in my life. She was everything to me and I still feel that void every day. When I walk across home plate and look up, I feel like she is looking back down on me and smiling.”

“The prosecution” is not a TV show. It’s clearly somebody in the D.A.’s office trying to get you to flip. Why else would they want all these documents?
Well, for set dressing, silly!
