You don’t fall into love. You commit to it. Love is saying I will be there no matter what.

An intimate relationship is not necessarily a physical relationship. Rather, it is a trusting, close friendship with another person in which one can be honest without fear of rejection.

When that pernicious wound pops up yet again in your heart, pay attention: God wants to heal you on an even deeper level than last time. We sometimes think that one encounter with God’s love will heal us completely. But our wounds run deeper than we know, and God is patient.

You can meet people different from you, and still be okay. You can exist with people that are strong, and opinionated, and passionate, and zealous, and stay firm. You can love, and you can trust that what you have and who you are and what you believe are yours. Writing what you believe on social media doesn’t make it true. What you know that you know that you know at your core- those things that you are convicted of when you lay awake in your bed at night; the things that you would give up everything for. What I would give up everything for just so happens to be a Person. A perfect person who has given me his love. And I know that I would still have access to the love, that I would still be filled and consumed with that love that embodies grace, forgiveness, and salvation even if I voted for the wrong candidate. It is scary to think that you may make a wrong move in life; love too much and forget about the law. But what we have in front of us each day is a Man from Nazareth who beckons us to seek Him, to seek His heart and His way. He was always shocking people with His choices. It shocks me sometimes that He loves me. But here He is, still by my side. Thank you, Jesus.
