This blog will be moving to a main blog!
I lost the Nausicaa and Louie muse for the parent blog of this one. So, I shall simply move everything from here to there! URL will become ârebeccanewtâ once everything is complete.
Viper let go and moved back a little, then tilted her head at her. She was just as confused as Newt was.
Newt gave a tiny little smile. This gave her some hope. She extended her hand again, this time reaching over to gently pat the Xenomorph. She still kept a close eye though.
Viper didnât expect that, but she allowed it. She moved closer to let Newt pat her a bit better, still a fan of her warm touch against her hard hide. She was a bit curious about the position of her mouth though, something sheâd not seen from a human in her presence.
Newt pulled back, looking the Xenomorph over. âMy name is Newt. Can you talk? Can you understand what Iâm saying?â she asked softly. The child waited for a response. She was not sure if these things understood human speech.
"Hey Rebecca... I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I hope we can start over? Put all that nasty stuff behind us? Whaddaya say, kiddo?" -Carter J. Burke
((OMG))Â
âNo. No. You donât just try to get someone killed, and just âput it all behindâ.âÂ
Aliens(1986)
âAnd this is why I donât like that man.â
She stopped, but then lightly took hold of her little hand and brought it closer to her. So soft and weak, yet the human had the courage to speak to her, and command her to stop an action even. Viper was starting to like this human, she was very brave and would probably grow to be a great warrior herself. Well, by human standards anyway. She leaned forward and actually rubbed the smooth front of her dome against her cheek, curious about how sheâd react. Plus, she felt quite soft and warm, a new feeling the xenomorph was fascinated with and somewhat enjoyed.
Newt gave a soft whimper, not sure where this was about to go. To her immense surprise, the Xenomorph actually rubbed its head against her hand. This was⌠Bizarre. Unreal. Dream-like. Surreal. This creature, one she had seen kill marines like it was childâs play, was rubbing her hand on its head! Why?Â
âI⌠What are you doing? You really are differentâŚâ It felt smooth, and a bit on the slimy side. Hard, too. Like armor.Â

She backed up a little, hands drawn in to her chest. Blue-gray eyes stared at the creature. Newt was taken aback by how tall it was. And how skeletal it looked. Now that she could see it in the light, it looked more terrifying than before!
âY-youâre bigâŚâ
Viper slowly dropped down further so she and Newt were at eye level. She could smell her anxiousness, something that made sense finally. Sheâd never seen a human this well, so she was somewhat intrigued by Newt. She took a a claw and softly touched her long hair, lifting up a strand and looking at it, before dropping it and inspecting her clothes, and her eyes. Truly a weird thing Newt was.
She went still as stone when the creature did that. Her hair was one thing. Her clothes were one thing. Newt was amazed at how gentle it was being. But when it went for her eyes? Oh no. That was too much for comfort.Â
One hand came up to block the claw from her eyes. âDonât poke my eyes...â

Newt had taken shelter amongst some rocks. She had set up a distress signal from the remains of a crashed scouting ship. Sheâd been stuck on LV-426 for a while now.Â
She could still hear the monsters close by. Wanting to seek her out yet not wanting to leave the security of their lair. The remains on the colony Newt had once called home.Â
Eventually, the spacecraft had picked up the signal, and thus sent a Scout Pelican dropship to investigate. On this mission was the Chief himself, accompanied by a squadron of Marines.
It would take several minutes for the Pelican to arrive, obvious through the fog that covered the planet thanks to itâs almost blinding search lights. Nearby creatures reacted, following the dropship; however they were quickly gunned down and torn apart thanks to the Pelicanâs minigun mounted on the nose, rendering them into gory piles of glowing green acidic gore and blood. Once the creatures were cleared out of the area it finally landed a few yards away from where the signal had been set up.
Newt heard the gunfire, and came out of hiding.Â
Big mistake. A single warrior spotted her. With a blood-chilling scream, it pounced on the child. âHELP ME!! PLEASE!!â she wailed as it began dragging her back towards their lair. The child thrashed and struggled against it, pounding on its head with two balled-up fists.

The Spartan II was currently making his way to the messhall. Here on the UNSC spacecraft known commonly as the Alabama, it was a part of his typical routine; wake up, tend to his duties, eat, tend to whatever duties he had, spend whatever free time he had in his room, sleep, repeat. And he didnât mind it, really; it was boring, yes, but it was better than being in the battlefield.
What he was unaware of however, was the fact that in the next few hours, this simple routine would turn head-over-heels into a clusterfuck of terror.
Newt followed, curiosity getting the better of her. The child watched as it climbed a tree, its long, deadly tail winding around it. An inquisitive hand reached out, slowly, hesitantly, before giving a gentle tug. âAre you different?â
Viper quickly turned around in surprise at the touch. She wasnât angered, more soâŚjust confused. The alien crawled slowly back down and in front of the little girl, then rose up to her near-full height. Even hunched over a bit, she absolutely towered over Newt. She tilted her head at her, now quite intrigued by this little human.
She backed up a little, hands drawn in to her chest. Blue-gray eyes stared at the creature. Newt was taken aback by how tall it was. And how skeletal it looked. Now that she could see it in the light, it looked more terrifying than before!
âY-youâre big...â
âI donât think there was any misunderstanding!â She saw through his lies! He was with the bad Company! Ripley had said so. Not to be trusted in the slightest.
âYou wanted me and Ripley to get infected with those monsters so you could make money! Youâre a bad man!â She moved further away, glaring daggers at him. âYou donât deserve any respect for what you did!â
âWell, then clearly you were wrong, Rebecca.â He was fighting not to clench his teeth. This kid was sharp. She was going to be nothing but trouble. He could already imagine the paperwork nightmare in store if somehow they managed to get back to Earth with her aboard. Explaining this all to the Company sent a cold chill through him. If this group of goons thought Burke was bad, they had no ideaâŚ
He put his fingers to the bridge of his nose and squeezed as he tried to think. âRebecca⌠Did you, did you ever have a dog? Or a cat? Those- those animals used to be wild like the monsters outside are, right? But⌠but they were trained. Men - like me and your dad - I, I knew your dad, did you know that? Well, men like me and him, and other people in the Company back on Earth, if we can bring these⌠âwolvesâ back and study them, then we can make them into âdogsâ and âcatsâ and have them be a genuine service to humans. Do- do you understand that? Do you?â he asked her, hands motioning around and making air quotes as he spoke. His eyes were never on hers. It was as though he was giving a presentation.Â
She glowered at him. Lower lip sticking out in a pout. Her arms crossed firmly across her chest. Newt huffed in irritation as he rattled on with more of his lies. At the mention of her father, she only grew angrier. Now he had the gall to pull her family into this? His web of lies?Â
âIf you really knew my dad, then you should know what happened to him! Your monsters killed him! And my mom! And my brother! And I bet you just wanna use the monsters to kill people! Ripley told me all about you bad people. You wanna make the monsters into weapons.â
She noticed he wouldnât make eye contact with her. His apparent... Discomfort at the discussion made her smirk.Â
âWhen we all get back to Earth, Ripley ân Hicks ân me are gonna tell them. All of it. And youâre gonna go to jail!â
Wait⌠It was turning away? Newt went from terrified to confused. Just what was going on hereâŚ? She got back to her feet, and warily called out to it. âYouâre⌠Youâre not going to kill me?â She sniffled, wiping her nose on her sleeve and rubbing her eyes.
Viper paused and looked back at her for a moment, before turning back and continuing to walk away.
She thought she was going mad.Â
Newt proceeded to actually follow the creature. It was acting so ODD. Why would it let her go? Was it alone out here? But even then⌠Shouldnât it be trying to kill her? Maybe this one was different from the rest, she wondered.Â
Viper paid her no mind, and continued crawling away, then up a large tree and, wrapping her long tail around it, just sat there. Feeling the cool island wind on her hide she rested atop the it, overlooking what seemed to be was going to be her new home for now.
Newt followed, curiosity getting the better of her. The child watched as it climbed a tree, its long, deadly tail winding around it. An inquisitive hand reached out, slowly, hesitantly, before giving a gentle tug. âAre you different?â

âSo she needs to make a fake report to keep the bad guys away?â Newt was a rather bright child. The plan made sense to her. But she knew it wouldnât be easy. Not in the slightest.
âIs it gonna take a long time?â

âThatâs⌠right.â  He nodded.  âIâm not sure. If it isnât convincing, it might arouse more suspicion.â  The other option being to not send one.  To simple disappear. A fault in programming creating a memory error would be  easier to handle than the concept of a synthetic lying for its own motives. The Company wouldnât take kindly to that.  Morality  wasnât  at question;  but a belief in  superiority  from  a subservient race was out of the question.Â
âOoooooooh, I see.â Newt sighed, leaning back on her heels. She understood small parts of how it all worked. It was confusing, but at the same time it made sense. The Company couldnât ever get their hands on the monsters.
She stumbled backwards, falling on her butt. Whimpers and tears were all that were coming out of her at this point. Newt wanted nothing more than to run. But she knew there was no point in running. Not when it was this close, and knowing it would easily outrun her anyways. âH-h-helpâŚâ
The creature tilted her slightly and gave another small hiss before she simply turned around and began to walk away, as she saw no point in inspecting Newt any further. If anything, she was curious how something so feeble could get so close to her without trying to flee.
Wait... It was turning away? Newt went from terrified to confused. Just what was going on here...? She got back to her feet, and warily called out to it. âYouâre... Youâre not going to kill me?â She sniffled, wiping her nose on her sleeve and rubbing her eyes.
@stranded-xeno
Newt froze in place, staring at the monster before her. She had come back to Earth with Ripley and Hicks under the belief that this would all be over. They had gone to an island for a vacation. And now⌠Now it was almost like it was back to square one. The girl shook in terror. She had nowhere to hide. Nowhere to run.Â
A small human, here? Why? It didnât matter, without any eggs Viper had no point in taking her, nor did she hunger for the little meat on her. She could smell the scent of others on her though, other sisters, but not from her mother. She crawled up to her, 5 inches for her face as she hissed at her.
