I mean it’s probably been discussed before but this is the sort of reason it’s nice to have a villain in a scene because it makes people get super invested and lose their shit really hoping for them to lose and others to prevail, so, again, I can appreciate what hbox brings to the game in that sense but I’m reeeeally gonna play into that when the villain is also like. a jackass person, or at the very least extremely hard to like

Tbh I think this is kinda why Leffen cleaning up his act made him less compelling of a heel - honestly, throughout 2016 and most of 2017, he just felt like a crappy knockoff of fchamp.

But then he started beefing with Hbox right around the time that people were becoming more aware of the fact that Hbox is actually a really shitty person, and things got interesting. Hbox became the new villain, while Leffen settled into a new role as a cocky anti-hero figure.
