Comfort in vengeance (For Wang Yi)
In a valley near the Wei-Shu border, a battle was waging between the two forces. It was a mere border skirmish with an overzealous Shu force with no officers of renown in their ranks contrary to who the Wei forces had. Despite having no formal plan and these odds stacked against him, their alacrity put the battle at even. Suddenly, reinforcements for the Wei soldiers in the form of a cavlary unit under Xiahou Ba's leadership. With this one single batch, the Shu troops were being routed now. After an one more hour of fighting, the remaining Shu forces had retreated. Despite his urges to chase them down and murder every last one of them, Zhongquan had to restrain himself from chasing them; it was a brash move and it had resulted in the death of many officers due withdrawals either being a trap or the pursuer getting too vigorous. Grasping his lance as hard as he could, he could only sigh. After the wounded had been gathered up and the dead buried, Xiahou Ba ordered the troops to retreat to Chencang, a small fortress but vital to the protection of Chang'an.
As the battered troops entered the fortress, much preparation has been taken place. It was a few months after the Wei forces had utterly crushed the Shu forces at Jieting during the massive Shu offensive. Xiahou Ba was able to fight in this battle and helped Zhang He secure victory over the impulsive Ma Su. Sadly, it wasn't a total victory over them since Wang Ping and Zhuge Liang had thwarted their efforts via clever tactics and stratagems. Nonetheless, it was still a great victory after the initial setbacks with the rebellions of the commanderies.
Yet despite this fact, anger was seething through Xiahou Ba's body as he went back to the barracks; even as the years had gone by, he still couldn't forgive Shu for killing his father. Sure, it was war and people die but when it comes to family, it hits harder than usual. Watching his father died just because his bow broke was the most painful thing that Ba ever had to watch. It irked him even more so when Cao Cao ordered a general retreat from the region back to Chang'an and leaving Hanzhong. Like his cousin Xiahou Dun, he could only grudgingly comply with his lord's orders. In an attempt to deal with this pain, he headed to the tavern to get a drink or two.
Again thanks to DiamondDust, we have true costume and face comparisons. Ba’s lips do look a little weird but its an overall improvement and he’s look older and better. Jiang Wei and Guo Huai’s face didn’t really change much.
Well I'm glad Koei made me look older!
Dynasty Warriors 8 - Bao Sanniang
Looking as fabulous as ever, Lady Bao!~
All the more nicer for me to have some fun sexy time with her some nice tea with her and the rest of the Shu crew.
What are some of your turn ons in the opposite sex?
Well, the facial features, how nice their hair looks, how smooth their body is and well, I'm generally not that picky.
IT'S TUESDAY IN JAPAN, LONDON, AND IN AUSTRAILIA. TMI TUESDAY LET'S GO.
Master Xiahou Ba, i was wondering how both you and your Mun felt about your relationship with Master Guo Huai? He's a splendid man, is he not?
Well, Guo Huai is a brilliant man who fought alongside me during the Northern campaigns. Indeed, Master Wenhe, Guo Huai is an loyal, honorable man.
Xiahou Ba what is your favourite outfit? Does your mun like this outfit too or?
My favorite would be the fantasy outfit. It fits quite well and it's not as bulky as the armour that my dad that got and my mom agrees with me as well.
'She'? don't you mean 'He', Xiahou Ba?
HEY, I KNOW THAT MY DAD ANS ZHANG HE ARE REALLY CLOSE BUT HE"S NOT MY MUN!......got a little carried away,
Is there anything the mun doesn't like about the way Koei portrayed Xiahou Ba? Part of his personality? Appearance? Weapon?
Mun personally doesn't like the way that I look. To an extent, I do believe I look way too young but eh nothing I can do about that except wear more armour. On the personality, he would of be proud of my decisions no matter and if I had to do some extreme deeds. Koei did make me flipflop alot but they did seem to have a steady course now with how I axted in DW7XL and WO3. And the weapon, she was so giggly and whatever about the siege spear that I'm getting. Well that's all that comes to mind
Hey Xiahou Zhongquan! Anyone you and your mun find attractive in regards to the folks of the Three Kingdoms?
She wants to pair me up with all sorts of people like Cai Wenji, Daqiao and Bao Sanniang. I do find all of those girls to be quite cute, pretty and attractive. In terms of the boys, Jiang Wei is not too bad and same with Zhoug Hui.
PSSSSSST, ZHANG JIAO-MUN, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHANGE THE ADDRESS TO general-of-the-heavens.tumblr.com/ask
or else Xu Shu might get your questions :3
EDIT: oop changed it to the correct link~
WHOOPS.
Thank you for catching that!
Never Return Alive [Open (Probably Wu characters first?]
Sun Ce heard the sounds of horses galloping in the distance, but he didn’t bother to turn, lest he run the risk of being attacked, or worse, shot from behind. The pain was starting to catch up to him. As another soldier rushed in ahead and he raised one tonfa to deflect the incoming strike. With a last heave of energy, he kicked the enemy backward, his eyes catching glimpses of the arrow sticking out from his face.
Agitated, he snapped part of it and soon his vision began to blur. He sank to one knee, but forced himself to remain conscious, hearing an unfamiliar sound get closer and closer. The Little Conqueror turned and spotted Xiaoqiao and Ma Dai before his sights set back on what was in front of him. He wasn’t sure when they got here, but now that the numbers were a little even they could beat the enemies back, prevent a full scale battle and get back to safety.
Blood swam in his mouth and he was forced to spit it out and continue pushing through the pain. He hadn’t even been aware of an enemy behind him until Ma Dai had gotten closer and clobbered him with the brush. As his ally moved in front of him, Sun Ce heaved a sigh, “Thanks…”
Trying to stand upright, but failing, he pointed at Xiaoqiao, “Get her out of here!”
He didn’t want to have to worry about Xiaoqiao, even if Ma Dai would probably do enough worrying for the both of them. If Xiaoqiao was here, Sun Ce had to entertain the possibility of Daqiao gathering the nerve and fortitude to follow her sister. Ce still didn’t get enough time to react to whoever the hell it had been that was responsible for those revving sounds, but when he saw that armor, pain finally beat him and he fell backward.
He swore to himself, even as he heard more rallying cries, that he would not die here. Not because of this misunderstanding.
“Sun Ce!” Xiaoqiao yelled across the field as she knocked down as many enemy soldiers as she could with one of her twin fans. Once her fan was retrieved after its attack, Xiaoqiao had Luoyue gallop towards him. She got a good look at his lips and saw that he was spitting up blood. It wasn’t a good sign, at all. ‘Get her out of here’? Like hell she’d get out of there. Stupid Sun Ce. “I’m not going anywhere, dummy!” she told him, before he… pretty much kicked the bucket. Not the dead kind, fortunately. “Wah!” She watched Sun Ce hit the ground and panicked; Xiaoqiao got off of Luoyue to kneel beside him and held the unconscious prince in her arms. “Hey! No, no dying on me, okay?!” Xiaoqiao gave him light slaps to the cheek, hoping it would open his eyes, even for a little bit. She needed some kind of respond out of him. “Hey, are you listening, dummy?!” Oh, what was the use. Xiaoqiao knew he was still alive… barely. Which was why she had to get her brother-in-law out of danger as soon as she could before he really kicked the bucket. “Huh?” Xiaoqiao looked up, keeping Sun Ce in her arms. She saw a young warrior in armour… blue armour, actually. A warrior under Cao Cao, she assumed. She was not looking forward to possibly fighting him, especially since she had her hands full with her unconscious brother-in-law, but Xiaoqiao felt a good vibe from the blue-armoued warrior.
There wasn’t time for introductions and what not. She had to get Sun Ce to safety. “Lord Ma Dai, I have to get him onto Luoyue— I need your help.”
Before the words could even leave Xiaoqiao’s mouth, Ma Dai swept down and curled his arms firmly around Sun Ce’s body. Using the strength of his legs rather than supporting the weight of another with his back, he pushed up off the ground and moved quickly as possible in order to get the Wu general to safety. Leaning Ce against his shoulder once he rose from the ground, Ma Dai clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth and summoned Luoyue forward. Reaching for her reins, he tugged her closer and moved to situate Ce’s body just in front of saddle’s horn.
“Are you strong enough to support him?” He asked suddenly, turning to look to Xiaoqiao. He wasn’t insinuating that she was weak—no, he knew she hated that, and he personally knew otherwise—but Ce was rather heavy. Muscle, armour and all, it wouldn’t be easy to bring him back to the capital, and laying him over the horse’s back stomach-down was by no means comfortable for him, unconscious or not. Nonetheless, there was no time—not to mention the Little Conqueror’s body was difficult and awkward to hold from the horse’s side—so with an uncomfortable grunt, he nodded towards his own horse. They didn’t have any time to waste.
“Just take Xingren!” He exclaimed, keeping his grip on Sun Ce relatively tight before stepping up into the stirrup and situating himself into the saddle. Just as he was capable of getting himself situated, he spotted an approaching figure on the horizon; the armour and heavy weapon unknown to him. Immediately on his guard, Luoyi abruptly averted his eyes towards his petite, feminine comrade before bellowing a worried command. With a Wei soldier approaching the current clash of soldiers around them, he had to take as many precautions as possible. Sun Ce couldn’t die here, and he wouldn’t let Xiaoqiao get injured.
“Go, Xiaoqiao!”
With an unfamiliar neigh from beneath him, Luoyue grew anxious and slowly back away from the approaching man cloaked in silver panels, indigo cloth and an off shade of cerulean garnishes, Ma Dai snapped the leather reins down against Luoyue’s neck and began back towards the capital, hopefully via the safest route.
Xiahou Ba could hear the battle cries as he ran towards where the sounds were coming from. He revved up his siege lance as he drew closer until he finally reached the clearing. He saw masses of soldiers surrounding three people. Two of them he couldn't name right off the back but the other was a no brainer. It was Sun Bofu, the Little Conquerer. It looked like he was injured and dying. Zhongquan wasn't sure of the circumstances regarding this whole affair but these ruffians were attacking the ally that helped them at Guandu. He just couldn't let that man die for all his efforts.
Using his left handle to push the handle on his lance forward, he propelled himself through the masses of soldiers to their position and then ending with a 360 slash, forcing all enemies away from them. Resuming his battle stance, he turned towards the trio and observed them for a few seconds. He gave them a smirk and a gesture saying that he will hold off these guys, despite the severe disparity in numbers. Pulling the handle back and revving his lance again, he turned towards the would-be assassins and pointed his siege lance towards them.
The name is Xiahou Zhongquan! Is there anyone who wants to have a bit of fun?
The enemy reacted with bewilderment and awe. This was certainly an unexpected development and the ringleaders did not factor this into their plans. They were also a bit confused by the man himself and the weapon he wielded. It was certainly a most strange weapon and one that hardly anyone else had ever saw. Xiahou Ba turned back and saw the trio riding on their horses. Again, he just smiled and turned towards the enemy again. In all honesty, he was a little scared; he was by himself, no support, vastly outnumbered, and little chance of surviving this battle. He then noticed some enemy horsemen chasing after the trio.
He needed to react quickly and he realized he could try something out, though he would hurt immensely. He revved his lance as much as possible and then released it, causing a huge burst of air to send him flying into the air. He spotted the pursuers and then dove right into them, causing an explosion and sending them flying while the trio as getting away. In doing so though, he felt the pain of the impact all over his body, which was compounded with all the armor that he was wearing. Shrugging off the pain as best he can, he turn to meet the attackers. All he could do now was just smiling and get ready for this.
