This blog is for fun! I hope to get his character right, but there are lots of headcanons already. I use he/they for Green, please respect that!

So Viper, did you like consume the bone in Greens body or is it like powderized or just left somewhere when you took control of the body? How do you get the body of a crewmate to be able to go through a vent without just having the fucked up anatomy of Lime?

That makes me wonder. If you see crewmates using the eggs as fuel and call it violence, what exactly justifies the fact that the impostor aliens are just as, if not more violent towards the crewmates? Most of them probably don’t even know what exactly contains in the ore!

Green laughed, leaning down and petting Emerald, cooing to her, before looking back up at White and pausing. They seemed worried.

"Hey, is your visor okay? I dunno if mines foggy and I'm just seeing things, but you don't look too great. Do you want to.. Talk about it?""

[ Chapter II: Check In ]

The doctor was not feeling their best after what had... transpired the other day.

Day? Had it already been a day? They could've sworn— ah, it did not matter anymore. Studies indicated long-term stay in space makes the body's internal clock go haywire... so that must be what was happening right now. Surely.

They sighed as they sorted the last of their files and began looking over their to-do list because being "attacked by an alien disguised as their latest coworker" would simply not fly with Orange or with MIRA. At least, they assumed so... it wasn't in the handbook after all and that thing was quite specific with what was considered 'good excuses' when one does not finish their assigned tasks.

So there they went on. Files, documents, vitals... all done. By the time they had gotten to the last few things on their list, the doctor realized what day it was.

Checkups.

Just a standard health check to make sure everyone was feeling their best and did not have any underlying injuries that meant they could not perform their roles. Something that was always set in place and something they had not forgotten until this point...

It had been scheduled for a few days now and everyone had agreed to it, meaning the doctor couldn't cancel without it worrying them..

They would ask questions if Blue did not do something. Questions that might pry into... what had happened.

“Oh, what.. luck.”

The doctor sighed to themselves, rubbing their temple as they tried to think of a solution to this... and realizing there was truly nothing they could say that would not invite trouble.

They might as well do their rounds then.

Sigh.

Nine crewmates down... everyone seemed to be in good shape so far and were easily swayed by the doctor's request, all they had to do was remind them of the schedule and they were quite enthusiastic to come spend time with them in Medbay. How lovely..

There was one more crewmate left... before... Green, they supposed. Oh, how were they going to do that..

Blue slowly walked to the entrance of Medbay as they got lost in their thoughts.

This is a break of their ethics, but they could not care about that anymore. The lives of other people are too important than any moral code they upheld. They had promised to save people and they will. They could simply stand aside and let people die... not again. Not when they actually had a chance.

So, if they had to lie, steal, or cheat... if they had to pretend that they did do Green's checkup and placed inaccurate information in that report to make sure that no one figured it out... that was what they had to do—

“Ah, Purple.. hello. You already know what to expect, yes?”

The doctor fixed up their clipboard, making sure the standard form was well-placed as they began filling out the necessary information about the security guard... finding themselves struggling for a moment as their hand trembled with each stroke they placed down.

Not.. now. Damn it all...

Purple had been sitting in their office, leaning one hand against their cheek as they mindlessly flipped through the cameras. Their one job. Riveting. The flickering of the black-and-white screen did little to help the constant noise in their mind. A sigh came out like a growl, leaning back in their chair. Nothing. As usual.

Their head lulled back, before sitting their desk. Purple glanced to their spiralbound planner, which was really just a cheap notebook they'd covered in stickers of fish. Right. Didn't the doctor have those check-ins later? What time even was it? Did time even matter in space? Purple flicked through their very professional notebook, past the scribbles and unimpressive doodles, to a page actually dedicated to their work.

"Medbay at.. 18:20." They hummed to themselves, "What time even is it now.."

They glanced back up at their monitor, looking for the time displayed at the bottom corner. The camera was stationed in its router to be in front of Medbay. As Purple glanced over to the time, they caught something... Else.

"W-What.."

They leaned in, staring at the screen with widened eyes. Was... that...-? "What the fuck?"

. . . . . . . . . . Purple was in the doorway of Medbay, looking at the doctor with an almost frazzled expression. They adjusted their hat, looking to the side. They swallowed,

"Uh, yeah. I think I get the rounds by now." They gave a reassuring smile, albeit quite wobbly. They stepped inside of Medbay and allowed the door to close behind them. Their eyes wandered around the room with sharpened precision, looking for anything... Out of the ordinary. Purple stepped onto the Medbay scanner tentatively, raising their arms and lifting their chin, as standard procedure. The machine buzzed to life, the rest of the room dimming in light as the familiar green filled the room. Scans were strange. It almost tickled Purple each time that green hologram went over their body. They looked back over at Blue, seeing how their hands shook. They winced. How could they even..? SHOULD they even?

Purple took a deep breath. Man, they hated this. They hated feelings. They hated confrontation. And most of all, they hated confronting people about feelings. But they didn't want to.. Blue has done so much, and... What they saw... UGH! A nervous, strained question left them as the scan did its final round.

Blue and Purple had a shared goal on this transit - to keep the other crewmates safe.

And right now, they both knew something was going on.

Purple just needed to get to the bottom of it. Of what they saw.

The doctor diligently checked over their information, making sure that the scanner was getting the necessary details... you could never really be too careful with these things. No matter how high-quality orbrand new they were, it was always better to be safe than sorry especially when it came to the lives and health of their crew.

But even whilst they busied themselves with checking and writing and checking again, a twitch of a tremble would briefly make them pause in the middle of their work.

Taking a deep breath in, they tried to compose themselves, tried to think of the task at hand; the information they were receiving was important after all. They had to make sure it was fine. They had to focus on their job at the moment. They had to focus.

They accessed the data given to them by the scanner. All seemed alright; the typical, standard information. Health was good, no illnesses or anything abnormal detected by the machine and nothing they could discern physically. Perhaps a bit too tired, likely lacking of sleep, but given the security guard's record of staying up far too long and no remembering to eat properly... they would guess it was the normal for them. They should really have a talk about it next time... when the doctor wasn't so focused on—

Those.. things.

Blue snapped their attention back towards where Purple was still standing atop the scanner, giving them a small soft smile of reassurance, hoping it was enough. Hoping their own exhaustion could not be seen through their traitorous body.

“...just a lot of work today. So many things to get done.. you would know how it is.”

“So many scans and checkups today... only... you and Green were left..” They made sure not to sound too... whatever the feeling was inside of them when the supposed-intern was mentioned. They made sure not to let that slip. Heaven only knows what would happen if they accidentally told anyone.

“And I did not seem to sleep as well as I would've hoped,” Blue murmured quietly, hoping it takes the attention away from any other subject. Anything to get their mind off— No.

They turned back to the information on coming from the vitals, inputting the data into the MIRA-mandated form and ignoring the tremors they could not stop whenever they think.. stop it. stop it.

Of all the things to betray me... it had to be my own body.

Purple nodded slowly, clearly not believing a word the doctor had told them. They'd always been a skeptic, they supposed. They felt their body tense as Greens name was mentioned, lowering their arms and stepping off of the scanner. The lights of Medbay came back to life as the scan concluded.

They glanced to the side, eyeing the door to Medbay. Shut. Tight. Nobody should be able to get in, should they? Besides Lime, but they're often busy with conspiracy theories and... The reactor. Purple shuddered. They wanted to forget they ever saw that.

"Yeah, Green. The intern." Purple said carefully, Tugging on the end of their sleeve. "You meet them today?"

A careful, open ended question. It had to be. Purple saw how the doctor was shaking. While Purple couldn't even begin to understand whatever it was that they'd seen, they figured that Blue had much more experience. Prying into other peoples feelings and thoughts was never something they liked to do exactly. They never knew what to do, or say. They knew eventually they'd say the wrong thing and end up making the situation worse.

But their own personal gripes with dealing with people problems aside, they understood this was bigger than them. Not the first time they'd...

Purple tore their eyes away from their gloved hands and instead watched Blue's expression closely as they mentioned Green. The subtle way that they gripped their clipboard tighter, how their shoulders tensed. The whole room seemed heavier, darker than before.

“Ah yes, after you. I have to finish everyone's checkups... It is only natural.”

The doctor let out a hum as they turned away from the security guard's gaze. Something about the way they looked at them... it wasn't... comforting in any way. Blue does not blame them for it.

It was just something they hadn't been able to experience before... it was strange.

Blue had been rather good in concealing such emotions from their patients, but of course, that skill they had trained for so long left them the moment that.. happened. They were simply just tired. Just off-kilter... nothing unusual.

They knew the security guard could tell. Hells, the least perceptive person on the planet could likely tell something was off with them. They needed to.. calm down. They needed to steady this. If Purple found out, what would happen? They would be risking everything if that happened.

..what if it already did happen.

...what if they already found out...

..what if that's why they look at me with such—

..were they watching.

they had to have known.

they know?

they know.

they know.

THEY KNOW.

The doctor glanced over their shoulder, not too much to alert the guard but... just enough that their eyes flickered around to notice the way Purple held themselves. The hesitation in their voice. The stiffness of their body. The way their eyes went towards the door of Medbay like they were planning in their head the best way to escape; perhaps to avoid something... or perhaps, recalling something—

Blue straightened up, glamouring themselves in a way... a soft smile on their face. Practiced. Even. Complete.

“It is so very kind of you to care, Purple...” Blue said softly, their voice lowering to appear more thankful as they turned and walked closer to the scanner where the guard was still standing. “I apologize for making you worry so... but I appreciate the care you have for all of us, truly.”

The doctor took their hands into theirs and helped them off the scanner. “You seem to be doing good... though, I recommend a bit more sleep... Your vitals show signs of extreme fatigue.”

“Along with that, you look quite tired yourself, dear.. you know you can always rest here with me. If you would be more comfortable, of course.”

Purple watched the doctor tense. The shift in their tone, something unusual for someone with so much composure. Blue always seemed on top of everything. It made Purple jealous like all hell. They struggled just to remember this damn check-in, not to mention how they couldn't even bring themselves to bring up...

.... That.

An endless carousel. It never ended. What were they even.. Going to...

Purple's thoughts all seemed to buzz into static as Blue's soft, gentle hands interlaced with theirs. They blinked down, a sudden warmth spreading over their face. Their heart began to race. Did the doctor.. Really just..?

Purple shook their head, shoulders shaking with a nervous laugh.

"O-Oh, um. Thank you.. Doctor."

They looked down. They hated how shy they got. It was infuriating. They didn't trust themselves to speak, knowing something stupid or impulsive would come out. Their hands were sweaty. Why were they always so goddamn clammy!!??

They knew they needed more sleep. They slept in security, flicking through cameras. Most of their gaze was spent on the reactor room, and the oxygen room. Time didn't matter in space, they figured. They supposed they were wrong.

.. Wait.. What were they?

They were thinking about something. What was it? Blue's gorgeous eyes? Their bone structure? Their delicate, kind voice? No- no, it was..

Purple tightened their hands, holding Blue's with as strong as a grip as they could muster.

"Look, Blue- I-" they started. How could they?! Ugh, this was annoying. "I saw something. Earlier. On the cameras. With... Them. It- I think it was? I-I don't know. Okay? But they-"

Purple took in a deep breath.

".. There were these things. That.. Curled around the walls. I saw a shadow in the door. I-It looked.. Kind of like Green. From what I could see. Those.. Things they- you were in the hallway, and then you werent, and then the lights were flickering- and- Fuck, Blue, it looked like a horror movie-! I- I didn't know if you even were alive- and-! And then I saw Green walk out, so don't try to tell me it wasn't them!"

Purple pulled their hands away, pointing almost accusingly at Blue with a determined gaze.
