liam’s death is just so fking trippy to me my heart hurts. one direction was the first band i ever fell in love with created my first blog bc of them <3. i recently lost a friend who i was close with we met in 6th grade and bonded over our 1d staples school supplies. i had niall’s binder and she had liam’s i remember we both complained about it not having pockets. i don’t think i could ever understand where liam’s mind was at but as someone who struggles with sobriety and mental illness i feel sick even thinking liam was in that head space. i wasn’t a fan of his behavior these past years but that’s liam payne. the man who wrote the lyrics i would eventually let my friend stick n poke on me. one direction will always have the biggest place in my heart <3. when they first broke up this song (& album) immediately became my favorite truly a beautiful goodbye letter from them to the fans.

i loved one direction with an all-consuming force when i was younger. it hurts deeply to mourn someone you were a massive fan of as teenager, and became a peer of as an adult.

i know people change and grief is unsure or complicated when it’s attached to a fond memory or the feeling a person gave you and not tangibly the person themself. i can see many of you on here are struggling with that right now and i understand.

a few years ago i purchased a home that Liam previously owned. there were rumors the house was haunted. He assured me it was not, and i believed him. because i know the ghosts that haunt us aren’t tethered to buildings. They live in parts of us that are harder to reach and they go wherever we do.

as a parent, a fellow artist, and a fan, i simply cannot fathom this untimely loss. my heart goes out to his family, friends, and the fans. 💔
