He burned bright and fast, we'll miss him truly." Logan laughed a little but his answer touched on a nerve. Caitlyn-and-Zeke were such an on again, off again, couple you'd have to be buried fifty foot deep to not know about them. By Logan's watch, they should have been back together by now. "Maybe she's just busy, you know? Or planning to surprise you! Yeah, that'd make sense. Right? It is Valentine's Day. Ha... Yeah, I'll try my best."

"Thank you, I feel like I am being nicer than I should. I could have left the country to avoid them instead. I am still in the city. They can reach me if they'd like. Good man, Logan. I do not, that guy sucked. Waking up at five o'clock was crap." Zeke didn't understand what was going on with Caitlyn, but he knew he couldn't force her into anything she wasn't ready for. She set the pace of their relationship, and he was more than happy to let her. "Doubtful, but love the optimism. Think she had a better offer today. Well, if you need to have a fun time, you know where to go."

"Normally I'm all about being a team player but that is fair enough. Every man for himself." And it was every man, by the looks of things. Sam couldn't help laughing. "Aw, man. I think you're right and hey, who knows? Weirder shit has happened. Any one of us could lose our trust funds and then suddenly it doesn't start looking so bad. How come you're being punished, though? Having to be here, I mean."

Zeke watched her make her rounds, clearly enjoying herself despite no one else seeming to enjoy her company. "If you say so, I think I would rather couch surf for the rest of my life. Plus, I think we could all do better. I know I can." He grinned at Sam. "I work for Mr. Hunter, and I may be ditching work to recover too much. But come on, this stuff is so boring, I still don't even know what this company does."

"Sounds good, man. I am excited to actually have fun. Now let me go find my boss before he blows up my phone. See you later, man."

"You do have a point there," William chuckled. "I can't think of two more formidable women. Perhaps we should learn to behave better. Any and everyone? Have you met Cait before?"

Zeke nodded his head, taking a seat, starting to lift the bar up as William spoke. "Yeah, probably should, but I know myself, and that isn't happening." He smirked, shrugging. "I have, and honestly, no better way to inspire a reunion than by pissing her off. Plus, she makes a very adorable face when she is trying to be mean."

"Thank you," Bella smiled before taking a slow sip of her cocktail. Zeke had followed the dress code as per usual, something she had always appreciated about him. Despite all of their drama, Bella knew for a fact that Zeke was right for her sister. They were meant for each other (for better or worse).

"Everything is going to plan if you don't count a few attempted gate crashes. You look very suave... Cait isn't here, though. Something about a cancelled flight and making it up to me-," well, perhaps that part had been more implied than actually said- "Between you and I, she's been so weird lately."

Zeke had wanted to see Caitlyn. Of course, he did. But he cared about Bella and Savannah like they were his own sisters. He had grown up with them, and they both gave him advice. Whether he wanted it or not.

"Thank you, I tried. I know she texted me something similar. I wanted to come still. I have got to stay in the future in-laws' good graces." Zeke smiled at Bella, it wasn't the only reason he was here. "You are telling me. She missed Valentine's Day. It's bizarre."

Zeke had just left Tripp in his room. They had a fun time, but there was a whole party full of hotties to make time with. Plus, a big part of him was holding out that he would be seeing Caitlyn tonight. He found Jesse cornered at one of the bars, he had to save him. "I am so sorry to interrupt, but the hostess with the mostess has sent me to find her bestie. Emergency only he can handle."

He pulled back just a little, "Okay, you can't just kiss me to make me forget you broke my family's antique vase." Actually, they could. They definitely could.

Zeke had gotten too drunk already. It was a long week for him, and he needed it. He had been on his way to the bathroom when he tripped, breaking the vase. Kissing seemed the best way to make Trip forget about the vase. "Who said I was only kissing you?"

Caitlyn knew exactly where Zeke was, making sure to check his Instagram before she decided to show up. She knew that he'd been having his fun - fine, whatever. As far as anyone knew, so had she. Jealousy wasn't anything new for them and usually, she'd welcome it. If there was one thing she never doubted, never overthought or worried about, it was Zeke. It was them, together.

Normally, she would have been in his arms already, all forgiven and forgotten. But something was different. She was different (or something). Still, there was no fighting the coy smile on her lips. "Who's your little friend?"

Zeke had expected a lot from Caitlyn; it had been months since they had properly seen each other. A few heated texts and sly Instagram stalking had happened, but nothing in person. He had thought Caitlyn would get jealous to see him with whatever her name was. But instead, she had cut right through him, pretending not to care.

He looked back at his date before admitting defeat with a shrug. "Clearly, no one important, especially since you are here. Want a drink?"

"Tell me about it," Sam sighed, taking a long suffering sip of ginger ale before looking back at Zeke. "I feel like my Grandpa Watts in this thing. I must look a lot like him too, 'cause Mrs Fitzherbert has been eyeing me up like I'm next on her hit list. Do me a favour? Fake a major emergency if she comes over here again. I'll owe you one forsure."

Zeke smiled at Sam, glad to have someone else his own age to complain with. "I will definitely help you out, but if she tries it on me, I will have to sell you out. I think she might actually think she has a chance with someone our age."

Zach couldn't think of a worse way to spend his night than at this snore-fuckin'-fest. His mom had insisted, though and whatever Niamh Tamaki wanted, she'd get. He was tugging at his own shirt when he overheard Zeke Lopez. Well, suddenly the night wasn't so dire after all. Zach had a quick sweep of the room with his eyes, looking out for any sign of Caitlyn Coates (Zach wasn't super keen on dying tonight, y'know). Satisfied, he finally made his way over to Zeke.

"Hey, lookin' good. For a monkey suit, anyways."

Zeke hadn't seen Zach much since they had their fun at the Winter Ball. Most people hadn't enjoyed the end of that night, but he certainly had. Seeing as Caitlyn had yet to reappear and reclaim him, he was free to proceed to do whatever it was that he wanted.

"Thank you, you aren't looking too bad yourself. Gotta say I prefer how you looked after the Ball."

"I think you could get away with loosening the tie without causing too much of a stir," Nick offered, appearing at Zeke's side with his hip flask in tow. "Here, have a drink. There's not a lot of fun to be had at these schmooze fests, I'm afraid. Not unless you're looking to become Mrs Fitzherbert's fourth husband," he joked before flashing a dazzling grin. "Speaking of, where is your charming other half this evening?"

"Maybe, but I might also get a death glare from my 'boss'." Zeke smiled, taking the flask. The bar wouldn't serve him under direct orders from Mr. Hunter, he was sure. "Thanks, I need it if I am going to be stuck here. Unfortunately for Mrs. Fitzherbert, my hand is already spoken for. As well as several other body parts." Zeke winked as he took a swig from the flask before handing it back over. "Having a much better time than I am right now, pretending I don't exist, I am sure."
