Throwing ass to the new Madonna album and I've never felt more middle aged (/positive)

My brother will just randomly message me emotionally destabilizing shit like "We should do a podcast where we draft a ranked list of all 99 Best Actress winners."
Mostly destabilizing because there are at least 15 performances that, if they didn't make it into the top 10, would have me going back on Lexapro.

I have no real opinion or preference for the new James Bond actor, but I do know they better get someone who is about 25 if they still wanna make these movies at a snail's pace and don't wanna put grandpa out to pasture in 10 years.
Vierna Feelz for Joe's
It deeply saddens me that "pdf file" has become slang for pedo. Don't you dare disrespect my wife the beautiful portable document format ever again
and to the children in the notes saying we need this fucking baby talk to get around censorship online; there's been no credible evidence that any site other that YouTube (which will only demonetize your video, ftr) will actually censor or hide content that include words like rape, pedophile, gun, terrorist, etc. etc. and even if we take as a given they were (which, again, they are not), do not fucking comply in advance, you absolute fucking coward. and ESPECIALLY do not comply by altering your real life fucking vocabulary. don't let the technocrats dictate what words you say holy fucking shit dude!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kurt Russell is so stupid and so hot in Big Trouble in Little China
You bitches are gonna share and like my YouTube video essays when I start dropping them and count your blessings I’m not inviting you to my bad one person shows or something.
Billie Whitelaw in the UK premiere of Samuel Beckett’s Not I at the Royal Court Theatre in 1973. Not I calls for a mouth in a black void, disembodied and hovering high above the stage. Accordingly, Whitelaw is swathed and hooded in black fabric to hide her body. The rectangular objects on either side of her head are the ends of a sort of clamp to hold her head in place (Whitelaw said this prevented her getting the shakes). The wire leads to earpieces, so she could be prompted in the text if she got lost.
The strange outfit and apparatus in this photo would not have been visible to the audience, of course; all of its parts are either masking Whitelaw or keeping her oriented and still. Her lower face was covered with black makeup so that the mouth itself, lined in red, was the only visible part of her body, illuminated with a miniature spotlight. All elements of the physical and lighting design were executed by Jocelyn Herbert.
“Every night was like falling backwards into hell, there was no way round and it was awful. I still get dizzy just remembering the play and, in fact, the tension damaged my spine and I have had to see a neurologist ever since. I call it raging Beckettitis.” - Billie Whitelaw

Whatever, I'm gonna complain.
So, for those who don't know, I write for one of the more respectable YouTube content farms. At the very least, they were holding out on AI. Sometimes I got to write about things I enjoy and it was the most consistent writing freelance work I ever had. Now, they've fully gone to AI, slashed my pay as a result, and I'm sitting here wanting to throw my laptop through a window while I try to figure out how to do half the work with a machine that requires more work and effort than just GENERATING SENTENCES FROM MY OWN FUCKING BRAIN WOULD.
On top of that, I have spent the last decade and a half unknowingly making myself unhirable because all the avenues in which I ever made money have been destroyed by AI and the people who would rather sink money into inefficient technology than pay people.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is -- fuck everyone? Fuck everyone.
Wait how the hell does she have two different bangs at once
You cannot comprehend the powers of an italian woman from new jersey
I've decided to embrace cringe and make YouTube video essays about the pop culture I like because holy shit, no one is hiring me, AI has laid waste to most of my marketable skills, and the world's crazy and I need some kind of forward momentum and if I'm not writing, I'm not happy, and if anyone's ever gonna care about my writing, I need some kind of platform.
So, anyway. I'm currently editing a video about why the 70s Bond movies are so weird, and the next one I'm currently writing is about Tootsie and Victor/Victoria, their different perspectives on gender, and the meta-narratives about Dustin Hoffman and Julie Andrews' careers that are reflected in their respective characters.
