We are an independent film production who wishes to use the medium of cinema to reach out to people. Our film project is the directorial debut feature-film of Filipino director, Bor Ocampo. He has directed a number of short films that has been included in national and international film festivals but this will be his first full-length film. Dayang Asu is set in the region of Pampanga, the director’s hometown. The film backgrounds the legalized corruption in the area as the story revolves around a young man struggling to prove to his father that he is fit to live in a dog-eat-dog society. The film aims to shed light on corruption and social injustice as well as animal cruelty. The project is honored to have been selected to be one of the 10 film projects to be given production grants by the Cinema One Originals Film Festival this year, a film festival produced by a local channel network in the Philippines. However, due to the film’s high requirements, the production grant provided is not enough to mount the whole production to its completion. The production is in need of additional funding to cover the expenses of equipment rentals, post production facility and of course to compensate the staff & crew that have been working on this project since its conception. We would like to offer all contributors acknowledgement in the film’s closing billboard and give DVD copies of the completed film plus a film post card and poster as an expression of our gratitude.Your contributions would be very important to us in order to see this film in the big screen. Sharing this campaign and getting the word out would also be a big help. You can also contact us directly thru +639178004409 or [email protected] if you would have any inquiries. Thank you very much!
