EMMA LIKES: HANNAH MAKES THINGS

Last year I attended Clothes Show Live in Birmingham and came across this adorable independent business. The necklace I bought was very popular as Marina and the Diamonds was spotted wearing it. Una Healy from the Saturdays is also a fan of 'Hannah Makes Things'. I love supporting independent stores and this store is particularly amazing as I have seen very few items on the site above £15.00. Postage too is very cheap as they ship worldwide and it only costs £1.75 in the UK.

£3.00 is an incredible bargain for this necklace as I have seen very few similar necklaces for under £5.00 on the high street. Its no wonder this is a favourite of Una Healy's.

LIGHT BULB NECKLACE WITH COLOUR CHANGING FLASH LIGHT£8,00

I love this necklace as it is so quirky and unusual.The light bulb has a vintage feel yet the lights add a modern twist. The batteries can be changed too! A fun item for those dark winter nights.

LITTLE SLIVER ENVELOPE LOCKET NECKLACE

These are a favourite in vintage fairs. Buy this necklace for a friend's birthday or Christmas and place your own message inside for a thoughtful present.

PENTAGRAM EARRINGS

For fans of TV's Supernatural this item is a must. Its a subtle way to express your love for the series and looks very fashionable too. Great  for a female Dean or Sam cosplay.

As a television addict, I fell head over heels in love with these earrings. Not only do they have a vintage style but they are incredibly cheap. Perfect accessory for watching Christmas TV.

I have a personal fascination for the ancient world and so this necklace is one of my favourites. The Ancient Egyptians were one of the first civilizations to use eyeliner so we have lots to thank them for! Pick up this stylish piece under ten pounds! What a bargain!

Today my Uncle mentioned how bird necklaces were popular during the 80s. This necklace caught my eye as the bird necklace trend seems to have resurfaced. Wear this adorable item with an over-sized jumper to complete the look.

EMMA LIKES: STATEMENT NECKLACES UNDER £20

AW13 for me is centered around statement necklaces as they can transform a well used top into a new outfit or convert a daytime dress into a nighttime ensemble.

Here are 5 statement necklaces I found in high street stores for under £20. Now you can wear the trend without blowing your budget.

PINK FLURO CRYSTAL STATEMENT NECKLACE

RIVER ISLAND - £7.00

For under ten pounds I think this necklace is an outstanding value for money. River Island's AW13 collection is very impressive as they have some beautiful pieces in their collection that don't damage a teenagers allowance. Wear with a white jumper to show off your feminine side.

GOLD TONE CHUNKY CURB CHAIN NECKLACE

RIVER ISLAND - £8.00

I bought this necklace for my friend's eighteenth birthday and she wasn't disappointed. There are many similar necklaces on the high street and this is the cheapest I have found without looking tacky. Wear with a T-shirt and maxi skirt to achieve a 90's grunge look.

DARK BLUE CORD WRAPPED STATEMENT NECKLACE

RIVER ISLAND - £10.00

The simplistic structure of this necklace makes it seem classy without being too expensive. I like the clasp on this piece as it is quite unusual. Wear with a simple white top to draw attention to its striking blue colour.

MINI TRIO FLOWER NECKLACE

TOPSHOP - £14.50

Flower necklaces seem to be a trend in AW13 as I have seen many in high street stores. I picked this necklace because the flowers were not as overpowering and colourful as other necklaces I have seen. The gold chain and sliver petals mean that this necklace would be wearable with other gold or sliver accessories. My sister wore a similar necklace with a black crop top and her outfit looked very expensive.

FINCHITTIDA FINCH EXCLUSIVE TO ASOS TRIBAL 'L' NECKLACE

ASOS - £20

The most expensive item on my list and I would consider it a splurge item. Yes you may find a cheaper letter necklace but the item sits quite high on the neck and the letter is bold. I prefer these qualities to a very long chain featuring a small letter. This necklace would go well with a bright jumper to achieve a cute preppy look.
