The Trappist 1 Star system is located 40 years light from us, and seems to have at least 7 (Earth-like) planets orbiting around the star. The Spitzer space telescope was used to find these new planets, and what is interesting here is the fact that three of these planets are located in an area where liquid water could be present on their surface.

Seems that Earth-like planets can be found almost everywhere around us in the nearby universe, so I think that in a couple of decades, humanity will find a way to visit these neighboring star systems and maybe to meet the alien civilisations that are living there. Wow, I only hope that these aliens will not see us as we see and treat the chickens. pigs, cows and so on :)

Messier 18 or simply M 18 is an open star cluster with giant blue stars and is located 4,600 light-years away from us in the constellation of Sagittarius.

This is the image of the cluster from the time when the Pharaohs ruled in the world, and they built the pyramids in Egypt and in other places around the planet.

Using a powerful telescope, anyone can see live images of the cluster.
