little moments of happiness

A good friend of mine drew a series of pictures about how we grow our own seeds of both happiness and unhappiness. The latter tend to grow on their own if we let them, while the former sometimes require a little more work on our part. Life is full of emotions and they can all be good for us in some way, but I’m going to try to focus here on the things that make me happy.

If we just remember to look, happiness can be found in the simplest of things and the unlikeliest of places. I think that I’m a pretty happy person these days and I try not to lose sight of those little moments of happiness, but sometimes we need to remind ourselves.

I’d like to gather and grow those seeds, big and small.

Hello again

Hi. It's been a while.

A lot has happened! I live and work in Japan now, among other things.

I've wanted to get back to Tumblr in some way for a while, and I recently figured out how I think that's going to work for me: a blog for gathering things that make me happy. I'll post pictures of little everyday moments, things that brighten my day, and I'd like to spend a little more time writing about things I like too.
