So I guess Iām following the right people because I had literally no idea people were making ālol what if Millie Bobby Brown was homophobicā memes until now.
I use the term āmemesā lightly because I believe that viral jokes have to be funny to earn that title. Harassing and straight up lying about someone for a joke is something that people do often, and in certain contexts itās pretty harmless. Mostly itās not, but itās still involving adults who can defend themselves.
However, you totally cross several lines when you do that to a 14 year old girl. Millie is a teenager, and to put her age in perspective, age 14 in the U.S is about your first year of high school. 9th grade. Freshman. That means that last year she was in middle school. Middle school.
And if the punchline of the joke is āwell itās funny cause MBB would never say that!!! Lol Iām gay I can make the jokes :)ā then why didnāt you step back for a minute and realize that these are heavy topics, and baselessly accusing a teen of a hate crime against you isā¦as serious as it sounds when put that way.
TL;DR - Sheās 14. These arenāt even funny jokes in the first place, so maybe think about the fact that you forced a child off a social media platform where she was able to connect with her fans and friends because she was scared of you.
