PROMPT #3
PROMPT:
You’re a shipwrecked vampire on a desert island. Dawn is coming.
PROMPT WORDS:
Box of boy scout badges, cheese grater, Snooki’s favorite tanning lotion, penis pump, karaoke machine, ugly Christmas sweater, minion and Mr. T’s jewelry.
The waves flowed softly against her chest. Her eyes stung against the salty water, she rubbed them as she raised her head and turned around. The beach extended for miles in both directions. Her skin itched, she could tell dawn was coming, she had to do something soon if she hoped to survive. Turning to ash in her early 200’s was not in her plans. Looking around she could see parts of the wreck. Rising quickly, she searched for something, anything that could help. Of course, Oliver’s ugly Christmas sweater survived, not even the flames of hell could destroy the cursed monstrosity. She quickly fetched it and wrapped it around her head. Grabbing a few other items, it was time to look for shelter. Luckily, she didn’t have to walk too far to find a small grove where she could be shadowed from the quickly rising sun. Collecting a few banana leaves she managed to make an improvised curtain to protect her pale skin. When morning arrived she assessed her resources and items to devise an escape plan.
As night approached, she heard noises outside her makeshift shelter. Deeming it safe to go out without burning to death she went outside to investigate. Following the sounds, she came face to face with strange bean-shaped creatures. Against her better judgment, she approached them to say “Hello”. As they noticed her approaching, they quickly ran away. If she were ever to leave this island, she was going to need their help. Now it was a matter of how to gain their trust. It turned out to be simpler thank she thought, she just had to use her cheese grater to get some coconut shavings and make some pudding and they loved it so much they followed her wherever she went. After that, she just gave them the box of boy scout badges and Mr. T’s jewelry so they could cover it with Snooki’s favorite tanning lotion to make them shine enough to signal passing ships. While she waited to be saved, she just had to sit in the shade singing in the karaoke machine and enjoying margaritas.

PROMPT #2Â You're in a shark cage surrounded by great whites and the door falls off.
PROMPT:
You're in a shark cage surrounded by great whites and the door falls off.
PROMPT WORDS:
Moon boots, a paper bag full of bread crumbs, tap dancing shoes, a very aggressive earthworm, bagpipes, Barbie and Ken dolls, hair scrunchies, a T-rex's leg bone, and a Book: Origami for Dummies.
He watched it drop, slowly disappearing from view into the far depths toward the ocean floor. The door, that suddenly broke off from its hinges, exposing the interior of the cage to the multiple sharks that still swam calmly around him. He had to think fast. Quickly turning to his friend's gear bag, he surveyed it looking for anything that could help. He had to protect himself. And to think his fear of diving was running out of oxygen. This was definitely worse. As he stared at the contents of the bag, he couldn't believe what he saw. A random collection of items that offered him no protection. He would have to improvise. He was good at that, right? He was an engineer after all. He quickly fastened the Ken and Barbie dolls to the T-rex's leg bone with a scrunchie, using the other one to fasten his distraction to the outside of the cage, as far away from himself as possible in the confined space. He then spread the bread crumbs from inside the paper bag around the dolls to make sure that if one of the sharks decided to attack they would focus on that instead of his very meaty very much alive body. With the shark problem possibly resolved temporarily, now was the time to figure out an escape plan. Suddenly, one of the great whites ripped poor Barbie and Ken away, together with the bone and bread crumbs. This was the perfect opportunity to release the very aggressive earthworm, currently enraged, it swam quickly toward the thief that stole its lunch. As the fight between the two predators went on, it provided enough cover for him to read the book "Origami for Dummies" and he gladly applied his recently acquired knowledge to transform the bagpipes into an air balloon that he hurriedly fastened to himself and used to float back to the surface where his friends noticed his panic and helped him up and out of the water. He was finally safe.

PROMPT: Write about what happened after the fire
PROMPT
#1 Write about what happened after the fire.
She knew it, her grandma was gone, and yet she couldn’t process this fact. All she knew was that she was alone now, she had no one. The painful hopelessness rose from her chest and lodged itself in her throat, she couldn’t breathe. The battle kept raging on behind her and she stood unmoved, staring at her grandma’s usually vivid and shining eyes, lifeless. A loud crash sounded nearby, the catapults, the empire. It was their fault. The feeling of utter rage crashed upon her, her chest was burning. She was not a fighter, but she had nothing to lose now, she just wanted them gone. The remaining tears on her cheeks sizzled and evaporated as she made her way to the chaos of fighting her skin getting exponentially hotter. Her restraint was gone, her hands boiled becoming red, the burning mass falling on the grass below. She ran, as she gained speed her elbows and shoulders engorged and became molten, lava was dripping from her. She was bursting with power and exhilaration by the time she arrived at the battlefield. The magma had completely enveloped her and grew, bubbling as she became larger than the catapults from the army she so despised. A raised fist, clenched with anger descended upon the large projectile launcher and crushed it, leaving in its place a pile of molten rock. She destroyed all of them, she had to, she needed to, so they could never hurt the ones she loved again.
When she woke up, she saw clear evidence of a fire that had destroyed an incredibly large area of the Northern Woods. All was black, clear of trees or any life. The dark piles scattered around the blackened clearing still fumed, she could feel their heat even while standing several meters away. On the ground, surrounding her, she could see thousands of bodies, some charred so intensely all was left was the black bones that poked out of the ashes. The others, with gruesome wounds, covered in blood, their faces so still she could swear some of them to be asleep, but she knew undoubtedly, all of them were twisted in pain or aghast with horror as they fell, taking their last breaths. She bent over and heaved, not much was in her stomach, and her disgust was less directed at the scene and more directed at herself. She had caused this, she burned them all, in her anger, she lost control. She destroyed the forest she so deeply cared for and tried to protect. She had lost everything, the loss and hopelessness overcame her and in her panic, she was hoping to be punished for what she had done. Her thoughts were a chaotic mess, she could not grasp a single one, she was lost and didn’t know what to do. She knelt, her vision blurred and her head felt light, she was going to pass out. As she lifted her hand to steady herself on the dirt she saw it, there on her right arm, the still pinkish scar. She remembered the failed hunt, the fall, the pain. Suddenly she saw Eliza, treating her wounds with Victor sitting right next to her, cracking jokes to annoy her while she worked, Spot resting gently on his feet. She remembered them, the tent flapping open to show a very hunched very worried Bast, carrying warm soup for all of us, and later, Ollie, arriving from the long meeting for new strategies, he barely managed a word before he fell asleep. She had them, those recent strangers that did not hesitate to help, who genuinely cared for her. She wanted that, she wanted to see them, to hear their stories, their problems, and worries every day. She stood up, looked at the empty land around her and walked home.
