The whole thing is still so surreal to me. The fact that I ever looked the way I did before or the fact that I’ve gotten as far as I have today. 80 pounds down and almost reaching my goal.
So my dad had this picture of my on his phone and randomly came across it.
… Holy shit man. 2 and half years between the two. A lot of good times. A lot of bad times. A lot of self discovery, good and bad. But holy shit.

If someone would’ve told me that my body would look like this today, two months ago. I never would have believed them. I was never overweight. I was never obese. I was never on the verge of getting any diet based disease… But what I was, was unhappy. I’ve had so many people say to me “why are you eating so healthy?! You’re already skinny!” And right there lies the problem of our country. SKINNY AND HEALTHY DONT ALWAYS GO HAND IN HAND. Sure, I was “skinny” but could I run a mile without being winded? Hell no. Could I squat the bar? Nope. Could I hold a one min plank? No way. Now, I am getting healthy. I’m eating better. I’m sleeping better. I’m more active. I’m feeling better. So if you’re one of the girls out there who are being discouraged from losing weight because “you’re already skinny” just smile and say “because I’m not trying to be skinny, I’m trying to be healthy.”
I wanted to let you all know that I am going to launch Round 3 of FMLS90 on August 1st.
FMLS90 is a 90 day fitness challenge that helps you explore your fitness needs and find your own answers. Along the way, I introduce some of the approaches I have learned over my fitness journey.
Each day, there is a post with a question that helps you explore the topic. The goal is to get you to think about your own journey and to learn from others as you read what they have posted.
There is also a set of weekly challenges that matches up with the theme. You pick one of them and complete it some time during the week. The focus here is usually trying something new or overcoming an obstacle.
Much of the content will be the same as previous rounds, but I will be adding and updating based on lessons learned.

Sometimes you have to glance back and see how far you’ve come so that you can keep moving forward. I can’t believe it’s been a year and a half.
