Project #3: Vanishing and Becoming?

Both original songs have sexual connotation by words but seem to hold a vastly different meaning when spliced together. I really slowed down the video to match the tempo of the music and it was kind of serendipity how it matched up at some points. I think it’s kind of creepy. Enjoy.

Moment Captured Series:

My Inspiration for this project was the contrast between natural life (like animals, those unaware of technology), and the overwhelming world of tech we live in today. I wanted to play with blurring and saturation of colors to emphasize the focal point of the gif which, to me, is the moment we best see the animal, and understand what they are experiencing. Though animals are cliche to post about, I do not care. I love animals and could watch these gifs all day. I loved being able  to single out both majestic and awkward moments that these animals experience (just as we all do). I had a hard time deciding what to do and/or incorporate to make these more unique but decided the best way of displaying animals is through their own actions.

The Loop (Forever) - Project #2

I am a single parent, student, part-time barista and freelance journalist. I took a moment to laugh at my daily life that is truly a struggle and a blessing. Some moments I found and others I searched for to depict the quintessential experience of being a parent. It’s hard and not always fun. Trying to shape a tiny person into a functioning, decent human being is terrifying sometimes. Especially at a time when I’m still trying to shape my own life. 

For me parenting has including lots of wine, cussing and poop glittered with moments of joy. Enjoy.
