Death’s unpopular horse opinion:

If the main reason you can’t turnout your horse is because he might throw a shoe, it’s time to rethink the shoes and possibly the horse.

#i’m not saying barefoot is the only option #i am saying i’ve helped rehab hundreds of “never going to be barefoot” horses #i’ve only met one horse that couldn’t go without support #and she just needed composite shoes #there are horses and enviroments where shoes help more than they hinder #but we really need to be looking at help vs hinder #a horse that can’t be a horse because he might throw a shoe is a horse not getting to live its best life #and that is always unacceptable #hey yeah #guess what #death knows horses too

"the catholic church has a secret demon/vampire hunting branch" is pretty common in anime (see: blue exorcist, a certain magical index), but hellsing is the only show I've seen to take the logical next step of also having a branch of anglican secret vampire hunters

and they and the catholics hate each other and get into fights over who gets to kill vampires in northern ireland
