Ppl call Israel an ethnostate out one side their mouth, then out the other they say Jews aren't an ethnicity lol. make it make sense.

The majority of Israelis are mizrahi not ashkenazi so the "ethno" in ethnostate can't be referring to european. (and even still most ashkenazim have middle eastern ancestry but the ppl who say this definitely dont know or admit this.)

But also usually when they say ethnostate they do mean Jewish majority. So how can it be an ethnostate with a jewish majority if jewish isnt an ethnicity???? If Jews arent a distinct ethnicity and are just europeans, then israel cant be a jewish-majority ethnostate lol since jewish doesnt exist as an ethnicity.

You wouldnt say america is a "christian ethnostate" because christianity isnt an ethnicity. If they arent ethnicities then its not an ethnostate. You would need another term like theocracy if u were just referring to the religion.

But functionally, they would mean that both are european-majority ethnostates (christian = substituted for european in this as well). Except that the majority of Israel's jewish majority are middle eastern, not european, even if we assume ashkenazi = european ancestry using their internal logic, the majority of israeli jews are again mizrahi.

So the whole term just doesnt make any fucking sense whatsoever lol. When it comes to demographics Israel is 20% arab, how many Arab-majority countries have a 20% jewish or european population again? hmmm...

I can't stand gentile europeans who say "we understand the horrors of the holocaust, it's in our bones" actually you don't. a rapist doesn't get to tell their victim they understand what it's like to be raped. you were the perpetrators, you rounded us up in cattle cars and then raided our homes, stole our belongings, more than extatic you finally solved your jewish question. you don't get to make our genocide about you actually. now they tout their "anti genocide" humanistic approach while still actively harming and calling for the harm of jews. you didn't learn anything from it, you just wish you could do it again without consequences
