“I’m no..” Lips smiled into the kisses along her cheekbone, enjoying the attention and confirmation. Deep down he’d rather be known for being gentle, kind.. loving even, but Hugh had been many things to many people over the years. There were definitely things he’d tangled with that could have been considered badass. “I dinnae mind it so much so lang as ye say I am though.”
With a wink he stepped aside, a hook of his finger catching her waistband with a little tug.
“It’s no much but it’s clean the noo, I can fetch oot new bedsheets. We can git chippy awn the way if ye want.. unless yer no feeling that kindae hungry.”
"You're a lot of things, big man, badass is just one of them." Hugh was a good man for nuzzling into. Something about him was warm, all-encompassing like a blanket, and safe as well. She'd quite happily crawl into his arms and not leave for a very, very long time.
She chuckled at the little tease, following with uncharacteristic obedience.
"I think that sounds wonderful, Hugh, frankly I could do with something to eat. Sorry if that slows your roll a bit." She has no intention of letting up on the affection though, and takes his arm warmly.
Securing her hand in the crook of his elbow he placed his leather clad hand atop hers, an old habit, one of many he’d not cared to break. Escorting her towards the door he manouevred them expertly around a few of the more inebriated patrons before the chill Edinburgh air swelled their lungs.
“I’m ne’er gonnae say no te scran fer the clamshell. I’ll need plenty o’ energy after awl.” A wink, a smirk, and they were on their way, up the royal mile, winding his way over cobbles as he had thousands of times before in various states. Tonight was a good night, he had a lovely lady by his side and his belly was soon to be filled.
“How did yer set go? Sorry I cednae mek it te watch, Paddy wed ha’e boxed my ears if I left work early again..”
