I've never ever felt so appreciated on a movie/tv show as I have felt this summer with each and every one of you. I'll miss you all to the moon and back. Still completely heartbroken. My heart still beats because of you. Very few artists on this planet have managed to turn all of the darkness in my life into light but Linkin Park was one of them. Hybrid Theory came at the most crucial time in my life and I still believe it to be one of the best albums I've ever listened to. A year ago today, a girl with bright pink hair walked into a gym and signed up to join. Today, that same girl stands 20lbs lighter, with a new shade of pink hair, and newfound confidence. I was depressed, hated my weight, appearance, and just about everything about myself. I never cared how other people saw me. I only cared about how I saw myself and I hated what I saw. It wasn't just about losing the weight or getting in shape. I needed a change. I needed something challenging and something that was my own away from the madness of my job and the film industry entirely. While movies have always been and always will be my love, I was becoming completely consumed by it and it was making me even more miserable. Joining the gym (and sticking with it) has not only boosted my confidence but it became my happy escape. For the first time in years, I've been comfortable in my own skin and proud of my small transition. I found others who love this journey. I found myself. Find your happy place. You'll be amazed at what it can do for your conscience, your outlook on life, and most importantly change how you feel about yourself. 💪🏾
