IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Thomas and Pastel will go on an indefinite Hiatus. This pause will last several monthes, and i don't have clear myself when the blog will continue.

The reason for this pause is the absence of the second author of the blog. Even if i am the artist of the project, and thus could continue drawing and posting, i don't feel like doing it. This blog didn't start for grand purposes, i never expected it to go big and become something people engage with like Lucky Star; at the end of the day it is just something two friends had fun creating together. The posts are born out of inside jokes, fun headcannons thrown in voice chat, ideas shared and then discussed. Continuing the blog alone would feel empty, and would feel like continuing a marathon with a missing leg.

This blog won't go totally radio silent. I will continue the interaction with @nucleon-artistry and post occasional character art for when i feel strong nostalgia towards the blog. I want to celebrate the birthday of the two protagonists, even if i will have to plan it alone. What won't happen is weekly posting and lore posts, and until the blog is back to normal the ask box will remain closed.

I won't stop drawing! I will use these monthes to improve my art and narration, to hopefully make Thomas and Pastel better for when we're back. I'll keep trying to improve my artstyle and keep thinking of ideas for this story. I'll be working on a couple of side projects in the meanwhile, and if you wanna see more of my art you can find me on tumblr at @kaikoeevee, on reddit as u/ItalianFurry and on bluesky at kaikoleggy.bsky.social.

Thanks to everyone who read the blog during this time, and to everyone that made it possible by engaging in asks even in a period where pokemon ask blogs are out of fashion. This was a fun ride!

It started with my sister because she would say "Stel" when she was younger instead of my full name.

So my parents started joking "Ah if it isn't the "Stel".

It ended up sticking as a little quirk which I don't mind!

Is there any humans in this world? Any appearance in history?

Humans aren't something present… But they do say that once upon a time very long ago, there was a group called "The Founders". Their descendants spread word of their tales of another world beyond our own, where they came from. A world where apparently no such thing as Pokemon exist. "The Founders" referred often to themselves as humans, which was the dominating life form in their world. They used to build towers as tall as the clouds, communicated with each other even at great distances and travelled beyond the sky and onto the stars. "The Founders" wanting to remake that world, decided to rebuild it to their image. Castles, towns, and even hierarchies started sprouting all over the land. These are the roots of the world as we know it. Many theorize about whether it's true or not, but parents often read this fairy tale to their children as a way to foster their imagination. Thomas is fascinated about this story and often daydreams about what this supposed "human world" is like. Humans sound pretty amazing to him.

Thomas, do you like pineapple pizza?

Let me start from the basics, since I don't assume a commoner has advanced knowledge on pizza... The biggest discrimant for pizzas is the tomato sauce, as it puts a lot of constraints on the choice of toppings you can put on the pizza. If you were to make a tomato sauce, cheese and pineapple pizza I would say that's a bad pairing.

However, pizzas with only cheese allow you to be more creative! Actually, adding something sweet on top of a cheese-only pizza enhances the flavor of the underlying cheese! Assuming you are using top quality mozzarella from fresh milktank milk, the result is very tasty! One of my favorite pizzas is just cheese and honey, and honestly it is quite amazing! If it was cheese with some pineapple cubes on top, I would gladly try the pizza!

Welcome to Thomas & Pastel!

We are a pokemon ask blog focused on the shenanigans of two eevees: Thomas, the prince of the Etherlight forest, and his butler Pastel!

Schedule We try to consistently upload every friday, so the blog will be updated at least once a week. If time allows it, some weeks will contain more than one post!

How to interact As this is primarily an ask blog, so asks are well accepted! Remember to keep them relevant to the content of the blog, and to keep them for all ages! This is a blog about silly eevees after all.

If you have a pokemon oc, you can send an ask as that character, and it will be included in the ask. The character will be considered a traveller arrived at the royal castle of the Etherlight forest

What’s your home like? Anything you like about it?

A-Anyways as you can probably deduce, I am a resident of the castle. I am not really sure who has built it... But I do know it has existed for a very long time. It definitely predates the current royal family, which is probably why it's the only stone structure around.

My father is from abroad actually. He was but a humble freelance performer when the king met him. Apparently he was so captivated by his performance, that he ended up hiring him as the castle's jester! That's so amazing to get handpicked by the king himself... And so, he and my mother moved in and began living there. Further down the line, they took and raised me here as well. I have my own room, though it is on a different floor from Thomas'.

The castle is enormous, with a great number of rooms within it. It almost feels like there is a whole separate town in here, secluded from the outside. There is even rooms whose sole purpose is for dressing up the royals! Though prince Thomas tends to be... Less than in favor of them... He prefers his... Unique style!

Of course, there is no good castle without a Kalosian garden! The vast amount of flower species... Their composition... The fragance, the moment you step in... The way they look up at the sun after being watered... Ah- Um... Yes the garden. It is one of the castle's biggest prides. You can also encounter grass types there. I am particularly fond of the Victreebel that resides there! She is my favorite!!

Nevermind, I feel bad, I can't say she's my favorite. The others will feel bad...
