Posting my New Years Resolution early. I've never really printed anything I've done, so I'm going to ask my two best friends @darrenisreal & @charmasters to hold me accountable in doing 2-3 prints a month of current or past work. They have both been an inspiration to me since I started taking photography seriously a few years ago. I know 2-3 prints a month doesn't seem like much for most of you but for me it is. Just a couple days ago I went to my cousins grave site for the first time in a year and a half to visit with him only to be left completely numb. Seeing an image I had taken of him on his headstone was completely unexpected, but at the same time put most of what I try to do in perspective. It's not for likes, it's not for followers, is not for features. It's for the hope that you truly connect with the person you are photographing and that it holds a special place for them or potentially their family members. We always hope that our images won't need to be used for circumstances like this but the sad reality is that someday we will all be viewed this way. A print on the wall, photo album, or headstone is how we all will be remembered, so put your best work forward at all times because it could mean the world to others.
