lukehemmosss:
no, just put in ideas that you actually want to be then you’ll be sorted. hat sorted really. i know right? it’s not only relaxing and peaceful but very welcoming as a community.
i decided i’ll go as kylo ren! i think i can pull off the dark and broody look without problem and any reason to wield a lightsword is good for me. how about you? any chance we’ll see you in a fun costume?
jcnnascoleman:
What can I say? My witty charm works at top speed no matter what. You’re right though, I should have given you a little warning ahead of time so I apologise for that. We can pretend like you’re organised and well thought out… we know the truth but no one else has to know, do they? I don’t know if I want to participate on a meal where marshmallows are melted onto sweet potatos. Seems wrong to me. You can go though and tell the world how thankful you are to have a friend as cool as me? Sound like fun? Okay! I’m sorry. I’ll be going as Carrie in the prom scene so that should be fun. Do you still not have any ideas?
they most certainly seem to do, i’m impressed by it! shhh, that’s right jenna and it’s our secret. we want this town to believe i’m better than i am. oh come on, isn’t it quite the crazy adventure though? i admit, i do think it’s pretty crazy too, but i also think we can pretend to enjoy it... or that we even tried it and let them have their goodies. from what i can tell, americans are so fond of that dish they will eat it all without complaining if we don’t try a bite. yes! i have actually deciding i’ll go as kylo ren in star wars. carrie sounds like a great idea too!
alcxdaddarios:
❝ I’m not sure it’s any consolation, but I haven’t given it much thought, either. A very unfestive and unprepared move on my part, because I love Halloween! Though, in fairness, I’ve been far too busy settling into the house that I haven’t had much time for anything else. But that changes now! Maybe we can put our heads together and come up with a killer costume idea or two. In exchange, I’ll whip up all the classic American cuisine your British heart desires for Thanksgiving. Even if it’s just the two of us who end up celebrating, I promise we will have a great time! ❞
it seems like, thankfully, many of us are in the same boat here. it makes me feel better about the situation, most definitely. i was quite concerned that i would find myself to be the only one without a really thought out costume, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. you people are so nice! i feel everyone is so lovely and generous with their time and company. makes it easy for a social guy like myself to fit in!
lukehemmosss:
that’s honestly not a bad strategy. especially if you have multiple costumes in mind. but indecisiveness is my middle name. as far as thanksgiving i’m sure we’ll do something big. at least at lot of food.
right? i’m proud i came up with it myself. it’s a bit on the wild side but i know that if i only make sure i don’t put any weird costumes in the hat... i will be okay. aw, it makes me so happy that everybody seems to be so inviting and lovely. what a place this is, truly.
slmcries:
oh , one million percent – i couldn’t have described it any better myself . hey , no shame – i think we’ve all been there ! i definitely was with abel a time or two .. not sure why i couldn’t get over that man as easily as the others . absolutely ! and i’m guilty for occasionally daydreaming myself into the world’s next best rom - com . maybe , i’ll do that whole ‘ fake date ’ thing for the holidays & actually end up keeping them around – who knows ? fall fashion is one of my favorites about the season , too – and don’t forget the boots !
oh don’t worry about that, i know we all have those people. lord knows i do, there are some that is just impossible to really let go of until you are fully over them... and it can take way more time than one would hope it would. i do wish you the best cuffing season and movie experience, i could also follow it and it would bring me joy from a distance. i’d be calling you up asking how things are so i can get some adventure in my life without having to actually go out there myself. there’s a lot of snow right now and things are cold.

dearest tom: it’s no tricks & all treats for you! at least as far as this card and gift basket are concerned, complete with snacks, bath bombs + an assortment of horror classics. hope the upcoming festivities are a nothing but a dream for you — happy halloween!
all my love, jessie ♡
camillerowc:
i think that drawing from a hat would be a fabulous idea. leaves everything up to fate. and it’s a hell of a lot easier than trying to make decisions. have a bunch of people you know put suggestions in and whichever you pick, you go as. bit risky but that’s half the fun! my suggestion for the hat is…a greek god. who doesn’t love a toga? i have no idea what i’ll dress up as. a devil perhaps. oldie but a goodie.
right? it could mean you’ll end up with something weird... but as long as you make sure all the things you put in the hat are things you could imagine going as, i’d say it’s a good as plan as any. oh a greek god is a funny thing though a toga right now... i don’t know, it might be a bit too cold and i don’t want to end up having frost bite on my family jewels. nothing wrong with devil!
mayahaawke:
It’s a delicacy in American homes at this time of year! I’m telling you, at some point that casserole wormed it’s way into the hearts of families coast to coast. You didn’t even get to experience Ambrosia Salad. I bet one of them get brought to any dinner the ranch hosts for us. If you hype it up people could think it’s like a teaser or a promotional thing. Then even if they do think it’s cheesy, they’ll think it’s the producers making you do it. Win Win.
i will not say a word about it, i don’t want to end up offending the lovely homes of americans all over... but i think you know what’s on my mind. ambrosia salad? now that sounds like food of the gods, literally. i’d be much more inclined to try that. i might dress up as someone from your shows instead. i think i could make a pretty funny demodog.
barbhq:
it also means the stores will probably still have any sort of outfits or accessories you may need. i know that’s a problem at times as we inch closer to the actual holiday. it’s a great holiday thanksgiving. tons of food and just hanging out. not much better than that.
you are very smart barb, i have to say that you are. i am happily saying now that i have chosen an outfit i can’t wait to show off. hopefully people will like it. i do appreciate any holiday that is about eating. i know most of them are but thanksgiving seems like extra big eating fest.

barbhq:
i’ve been having that problem too, but i’ve actually come up with a few ideas. just do your research online my friend. i’m sure something will be in place so you’re not eating alone, i wouldn’t worry about that. plus we’re a friendly bunch.
it seems like everyone is kind of leaving things to the last minute which, if i’m honest, i’m pretty happy about. i don’t want to be the only one not knowing what i’m going as. i might go as something completely random, we’ll see. i know for sure you are! perhaps there will be countless of different thanksgivings just so that i can enjoy them all.
ashtonfibwr:
I’m sure that the ranch will host something! This is gonna be my first Thanksgiving in America so I’m super excited! I don’t love Turkey but all the sides look absolutely amazing as well. Honestly? I have no idea what I’m going as. I may just throw on a cowboy hat and call it a day. I’m not creative!
is that so? i must say, it warms my heart to hear that we are so many thanksgiving virgins here. it makes you feel less left out and more like one of the gang. i’m a big bird fan, but mashed potatoes surely does things to me. if you do a cowboy hat you need at least a lasso as well! or we’ll be disappointed ashton.
itsandrew:
Glad to hear that, I won’t say I didn’t see it coming because I so knew you were going to choose me before anyone else. Did the youth stop saying ‘bae’? Because I am that for you. What’s in that evil mind of yours? Because I presume you’re about to get me into some trouble. I might let you decide what we’re going to be up to, only if it won’t be anything illegal. I’m up to do some interesting stuff but getting in jail is not one of them. Didn’t mean to make you cry, I wanted to show my love for you, thought you’d love to hear it!
you should know that because i am always and all the time on your side and your biggest fan. king andrew, i say when talking about you with others. hell, i don’t have a clue what the youth does but you are my bae. all the time. okay, hurtful, when have i ever been evil and gotten you into trouble? ... okay, there’s no need to answer that. just know that jail is not on the table, just good fun, some drinks, maybe a smoke, and a night of me reminding you how much i missed you, best person in the world.
jcnnascoleman:
Why does it come to no surprise to me that you’ve left planning so late? I’d judge you but I know you too well to think that you would care about my opinion on something like that. As for thanksgiving, you’re letting the team down by subcoming to the American holiday. Personally I was going to sit at home, watch Downton Abbey, drink tea and think about Christmas growing closer. As for Halloween costumes, it all depends on what kind of route you would like to take. You could be a stereotypical vampire or you could go all out and become an iconic face with Beetejuice. My idea is excellent so I don’t trust you not to steal it.
wow, you’ve been here five minutes and already you started dragging me. jenna, give a lad a bit of a break here. i know you’re right but... can we pretend you’re not so i don’t look bad in front of all these people? it would be much better. and miss out on getting a home cooked meal? no jenna, that’s just not it. we have to take any chance for turkey dinners, it’s just the way it is. i’m going to be dragging you with me. you don’t trust me with your idea?! okay, dragged and offended here.
mayahaawke:
Don’t lie, you don’t always love american traditions. When I tried to introduce you to my Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows, you were having no part of that. I know I had just told you how badly I messed up the recipe, but as my boyfriend you should have tried it and said “this is the best fucking thing I’ve ever tried.” Fake it til you make it. Is there anything you can go as from that new show youre on? Sandman or something? Fans would eat those pictures up.
maya, that was not food. there’s just no way we can count that as food. or an american tradition. an american abomination, might be more fitting. i cannot fake such a thing, not even i am that good of an actor you know. i was thinking of going as dream but you know... it feels kind of... lazy?
guys, halloween is drawing near and i have no clue who or what i’m going as. i’m not above drawing suggestions from a hat. i am also already worrying how i will invite myself in for thanksgiving if anyone will have me, if not this lovely ranch hosts something. i’ll always be a fan of american holidays with lots of food. anyway, rambling. please give me some ideas to put in my hat for halloween costumes. any and all suggestions. what are you going as? i promise not to steal it... unless it’s real good. // @brasswoodhq
